I have just found out these COW BOYS have charged my Mother £78 for x7 phone calls in which she was given x7 WRONG NUMBERS. The level of incompetence is astounding and would not recommend these IDIOTS to anyone at all. I have had to give 1 Star because it would not let me give 0.

On Monday 7th May 2018, sometime between 3 and 4pm, Yell.com gave my unlisted (ex-directory) number to a relative stranger. Mind numbing stupidity.

I can't believe in my moment of panic I used 118 247 for a number, Big Mistake as I got hacked and for that number it cost me £24.49. They then had the cheek to phone me back and it ended up costing me more money. Yeh ok you could say that was stupid of me but I have MS secondary aggressive and just don't function like I used to, So hope they get what is coming to them and I hope it hurts.

I phoned them as I needed the number of the theatre I was going to when I was out. They charged me £5.86p for the call and NEVER gave me any phone number, and just hung up. So I rang back to get the number and complain. I was charged £8.40p for getting the phone number, but couldn't get someone to answer for my complaint. So I rang one last time to complain and you guessed it they charged me a fortune again,£8.97p just for ringing to complain. I also got nowhere with my complaint, and to add insult to injury had to top up my phone with extra money as I had by then been charged so much cash, the credit on my phone had run out.

never contact this company, they are the most appalling, cheating filth of a company who take people's hard earned money for just giving them a number. Their useless operators keep you on the phone for as long as possible and then you are charged £50+ for absolutely nothing. No wonder they are owned by the same useless people who ran Yellow Pages.

Called this directory for a number, was put on hold whilst the advisor looked up the number. Was told it's £1.00 per minute so how does an 8 minute 11 second call cost £36. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER!!!

upon requesting a simple answer I was charged for a two minute call at great expense only for the operator to ask how are you spelling west!! I gave up and will google the number in future as call was very frustrating and my money wasted,if I could rate as minus I would

I used 118 247 to find the number of a recovery service as my car had broken down late at night with myself and children. Instead of supplyjnhmd with the number the guy on the phone (who I could barely understand) kept asking me loads of questions as to where I was. After asking him 3 time to just tell me the number I told him to stop asking me questions and answer my initial request. His answer was to hang up. Marvellous 118 247! What an absolute rubbish service and very expensive too. Never again shall I use their service.

I was in the middle of Glasgow looking for DVLA office. When I used 118 247 to ask for the name of the street where it was on. They said they could not find it and gave me a Generic no. I indicated that that was nonsense as i at the same time used my google search ( which i will use now forever) and within 5 second the address came up. The person on the other end hung up on me . Taking my money and not supplying a service or taking customer feedback. Now who has the power now. They have the power to hang up on me and I cannot complain, but i will never use them again and I do use them a lot for buisness ..:(

I have used 118247 for years and could not fault the service. Always polite, accurate and excellent service........NOW over the last couple of months I have taken my business elsewhere, with my job I am on the road a lot and some days I was calling 118247 6 or 7 times a day, recently though their call centre and customer service reps have all been outsorced abroad and the service is SLOW, IN ACCURATE, PAINFUL AND THE LAGUAGE BARRIER IS JUST NOT WORKING. 118247 sort it out as im sure I am not the only one that has moved away from your service.

Appalling service. The operator would not seem to listen to me and told me that the property I was looking for a telephone number for did not exist.
Only after explaining 3 times that he must have spelt it wrong, I got the number I was looking for.
Terrible service, very expensive, will never ever use again.

Terrible service, telephonist did not give me an opportunity to explain where/ what the number was needed for. Got completely the wrong county and when told twice it was the wrong one, he still continued to search! will not be using again.

I would agree to the fact that they offer a great quality service.
You seem to pay for this service though as they are very expensive.
Unfortunately for me though, for what good it did my buisness I may as well have burnt the money to keep warm. I have a FAR FAR Greater concern
for their sister company yell.com
Yell.com are actualy running scams ! I have fallen victim to the 60 day free trial scam. Im currently fighting this and trying to bring them to justice. My concern now, with the yellow pages side, is that I find it hard to believe they can not know that their parent company yell.com is running scams, as their have been so many complaints.

Yell.com 118 247 is a quality service, helpful staff, and you don't feel like you're being heckled off the line ready for the next caller. Have tried other 118 services and consider this by far the best.

Truly abysmal - called for a company had to spell it 4 times and was advised that no such company existed. What a load of cobblers!
I walked into Putney - and lo and behold there they were! then checked on line at yell.com and there they were. Cannot believe that you have to ay for such a lousy service!
