"best Free Antivirus Software For Home Use"

My laptop has this software. It protects me, just as everyone else does. It is also easy to instal & run; nothing else interferes with running.

Avg Company Is Always At The Top !

One of the most reliable antivirus packages on the market. The interface is very “trendy” and easy to use. AVG Antivirus will protect your device from spyware, ransomware, and viruses. Free version is rather decent.

"best Free Software For Protection"

For individuals and organisations looking for simple software that provides high-quality security, AVG is ideal. There are several free options to try, and in detecting and eliminating threats to online security, the software is successful.

I have used AVG twice in the past.. purchased there Ultimate Anti-Virus for one year.. 5 months later a Virus destroyed my Computer... there Anti Virus is Garbage. They bill you and take money without notification.

I will never use them again

Call customer Service you get someone who's English is so bad you cannot understand them.

Excellent

Had some Adware problems thatI couldnt get rid of. Found live chat/tech support at AVG, and they sorted it quickly.

I am very impressed with the whole Anti Virus package, which I paid for, which really is the way to go.

Tried others ...this is the best in my opinion.

Good Product

Good protection from malware and completely automated for those that prefer to install and forget. Performance could be better, but it's hard to argue when it's free.

Too Many Adverts

I am no computer expert and to protect my computer I have in the past always paid for McAfee protection, without any complaint or problem, this year I decided on a change and purchased AVG Antivirus, since then I have had countless adverts forced onto my computer trying to get be to purchase additional products from AVG.

If I was using the free version I would expect to have to put up with this constant intrusion, but not if I have paid good money for it.

I will not be renewing my contract with AVG and I would like to tell them what they can do with their adverts.

Great Stuff

AVG `Internet 2015` and its sister software `PC Clean Up` is available free for a short time to try out. I have used it for a while and was impressed with how it functioned. It is easy to use. It worked with Windows 10 and Windows 7. The clean up software seems to `sort out` the PC`s and using Chrome browser with AVIRA (not a fan of Avira-but it seems to work)`secure search` (which is part of Chrome)- i feel i am covered by most eventualities. I have purchased both products.

Terrible Customer Service And Dishonest

They offered AVG full version in PC pro Magazine, but after they get you to register and open account, they do not send you the serial number. This is a big marketing scams. They do not reply to emails, there are many people still waiting for their serial numbers, just read the forum.

I have nothing but praise for other vendors like Bitdefender,Symantec and Avast.

AVG IF YOU ARE READING THIS STOP THIS DISHONEST MARKETING PRACTICE, customers are not fools like you think they are, they will vote with their wallet.

Software like AVG will never make the main stream because of Idiots who run their marketing dept.

Terrible Customer Service But Avg Quick To Take Your Money

I have had AVG security for my laptop for four years, recommended by an IT firm. Each year renewal is made automatically by AVG. They are contactable when it comes to payment but not easily contactable at all when it comes to queries. In fact they are downright invisible. This year I gotthe Babylon virus and I had to pay and IT chap to come to my home to remove it. He said that the AVG I was running was a version from 2009 although payment had been made in 2010, 2011 and 2012. I tried to contact AVG with queries abotu the version I was running and the possible need to update it to AVG 2012, and if in fact my laptop could handle that version. I realise that onl;ine security can not protect one from every virus, but I weanted to ask what their technical people might have down about the Baby;on virus I got if anything. Well, the first difficulty was getting hold of a telephone nunmber in the UK. The second difficulty was reaching anyone on the telephone. Several times I was cut off, or queuing for over half an hour. I tried online-. I was in their tech chat room for four whole hours wiaiting for someone to answer my queries. I eventually got hold of someone who was inorindately slow and my querstions about AVG upgrade were not anwered. I then tried sending two snail mail letters 7 weeks and 5 weeks ago to their UK HQ near Nottingham, with a complaint about the poor customer service experience and have heard back precisely nothing. So I do not know if my lpatop is properly protected. Their protection comes at £35 per annum for one laptop. They take the money two weeks in advance of the renewal date.
