“for me...good value for money and hard wearing.”

Written on: 22/08/2013

I have the 2008 model. Very sturdy. The only thing that didn't last was shopping basket and I agree it's a bad design because there is no support and it drags down easily.it dragged holes into itself. I put the pram away 2 years ago when my son was 3 and he used it as pushchair mode too. He loved it. Slept very soundly. I don't know many who haven't padded out their pram whatever the make to make it more comfy. I don't recall a problem with harness he seemed very secure. He was a 9lb baby and… Read Full Review

Had to write as so many bad reviews. Don't know if they have changed the Mamas and Papas pilko pramette over the years but I had mine when my daughter was born in 2006. She loved it as a pram and there was plenty of space and she fitted very nicely in the buggy until she was three years old. Never had a problem with it being too small for her, we loved it so much that we never bothered buying a cheaper buggy when she got older, we took it everywhere. It fits in a small boot (renault clio), and… Read Full Review

Yes it has changed. They've 'improved' it! Stick to your 2006 model. You would be so disappointed with one now after using an earlier model. We are actually going to have to buy a different pram after only 9 months. Our 2004 model was fantastic. 2010? Not so much!

ive actually quite liked my pliko pramette a very smooth ride with the wheels some woman said it had no suspension butit does and i ont think its that bad on rougher roads cause the roads where i live ar very rough when you go on a smooth surface it like pushing along air! really manuverable too round corners. i moved my baba into the pushchair mode at 4 months and i had no trouble fttin him in the pram mode either but i did have a small baby he began at 6.5 pounds so he fitted in it very… Read Full Review

Written on: 01/08/2010 by veraxfilia (1 review written)

I have been using the Mamas and Papas Pliko system for 5 months now and am mostly pleased with it. Its real strengths are that it is lightweight, folds relatively easily and can fit in the boot of a small car (Vauxhall Corsa). I also take this on and off buses easily. The hood, rain cover and foot muff all work fine, and the system is easy to flip from pram to pushchair. It is easy to manage around town and in shops. The lying flat pram was great for when my son was newborn; however, he is a… Read Full Review

Written on: 28/06/2010

I have been using my Mamas and Papas Pliko pramette for 10 months now, and love it. There are a couple of downsides - the baby cannot face you in pushchair mode, and there is no safety harness when the baby is in the pramette mode - I was always very wary when crossing roads or in crowded places in case the buggy got knocked. The zip for the raincover broke, but this was repaired with no fuss.
However, despite all of these points. I would definatley get a pramette again. It fits into my small… Read Full Review

This is a good pram, a little on the expensive side it looks good not too easy to change from pram mode but when you have done it a few times you get used to it and can do it in a few mins, one thing I will say is I'm not happy with the harness situation at all my baby is 9 weeks old and a big baby and the harness still doesnt fit him! Also when in pram mode there is no harness at all which is not very good as I live in a first floor flat and every time I go out my son goes up and down the… Read Full Review

Written on: 07/04/2008

I think the pushchair is good, just not suitable for rural areas, perfect for inner cities. Just a note to say, if you're looking for a pushchair try and go for a 'five point harness' rather than a three point as this supports and secures baby more I think this has caused some confusion. A harness that is not attached to the backrest of your pushchair is called a 'free flowing harness' and yes it does allow more movement, but is NO less safer as the depth of the seat is deeper, thus… Read Full Review

Do you work for Mama's & Papa's Tech Design team by any chance ? I agree with the physics of the extra chair depth moving the centre of gravity of the child further back (reducing the chance of tip-up's), but what you're neglecting <br/>is mention is the cul-de-sac this forces the chair design into. In order to be deep, the chair must become a "bucket seat", 7 inches deep, in the case of the Pliko P3 Pramette ... now what happens if you neglect to make this 'bucket-seat' wide enough, only 9 inches in fact ?? You have an ergonomic disaster on your hands. The child can't get in or out ! 9 out of 10 ? You must be joking ! 2 out of 10 at the most, say nothing infants, squashed, hunching their shoulders in order to sit back in the chair ... did anybody mention the long terms effects of this yet ?

Overall a great buy. Can't see us having to buy a lighter buggy/ stroller as soon as I thought. Great value for money, pity the pram insert and stroller lining weren't included. Car seat could be better… Read Full Review
