They hold your computer hostage wont allow to uninstall the program without a password> i tried password they orginaly send and the one i created none of that worked> i called customer support and they want $170 for password reset. Never get free or sub scription. I suspect they are taking information from your computer. Always keep reminding how much hard drive space is left. They dont want to refund my money> i paid $40 for this. The scan never completes always stays at 6%. I called them and they said it is the problem with my computer

Stupidly I purchased 3 years cover as it was a good deal, but it doesn`t work with Windows 10...the `launcher` disappears every time you boot up, and then when you reinstall you get the free version-even when you enter the licence. It think it works with my Windows 10 laptop - (who knows that given it doesn`t work with Windows 7), but as i don`t trust this company now, i asked for my money back (I believe they have a 30 days money back). Never heard from them. What a waste of money.

Avira Antivirus The problem with this software is you can not have full control of it. It is going to do updates whether you want them or not. I like to do my updates manually after I connect to the internet and start up my VPN service and depending on what I am doing. But I can not, it connects immediately without my permission before my VPN can load! It is going to update itself no matter how you change the settings when it wants to! Nothing pisses me off more than going after a cup of coffee and coming back to the computer to find that the program has gone out on the internet without my permission, that is flaw number one. Number two is the temporary files and related files takes up WAY to much space on the hard drive and because those files are always in use you can not delete them. Every time they come out with a new version I cringe. It's all produced for idiots who have to have everything done for them on automatic. It USED TO BE an excellent program, about five years ago, now it's all automatic and I can not find any way to write directly to them either, have to leave this review instead.

I had no problems with McAfee until a friend insisted avira was the best ever and I had to put it on my laptop to make sure it didn't get viruses. Since it's been on my laptop I've had popups and now I've a serious virus and it's going to cause bucks to fix my laptop. Not happy.

I would nobody recommend this virusscanner, its TERRIBLE. My oncle and his wife where using this virusscanner and on a day they saw a password was changed (something about there bank). So i said i will check your computer and i downloaded kaspersky on it, and it saw the virus very quick and i removed it with kaspersky. People don't get this virusscanner!

Do not UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES download Avira "Antivirus" It is worse than any virus. I have been using AVG happily for 3 years then for some reason Windows "recommended" I get new Antivirus protection so by their recommendation I went for Avira, BIG MISTAKE, I have spent the last 4 hours trying to get rid of it my computer is now infected with viruses and I can no longer do a System Restore[Avira must disable that to let the viruses in] I now seriously think I will have to dump this computer and buy a new one. Once again AVIRA is a CON it IS A VIRUS do not INFECT your computer with this GARBAGE!

This provide maximum protection to the users. Because of other antivirus provide heavy task who too slow ours computer, but avira provide heavy task with light manner. I recommend you will have use Avira Premium Security Suite. This suite provide you all kind of setisfaction. so bye and Thank you.

I am Kurian Mathew....I have been using Avira Anti Virus for about 2 years.....It has been protecting my computer from all kind of virus attacks......But we have to upate it every 3 days....If we do it will protect from any kind of virus including new folder,trojen,worm etc.....

Did not stop Win32/Alureon.H virus/rootkit from infecting my system. after many attempts to get rid of it as a last resort I re-installed everything on my hard drive

I am talking about Avira 10 this is a buggy product, don't take my word visit their forum. A pro-active module is added to version 10 this itself has caused countless problems being buggy and their advisers tells you to dis-able it!!!!

Those that have a floppy drive, the thing is always kicking up when scanning for viruses, some people who have down-graded to version 9, there are many complaints about this as well, there is a hotfix they Email you with - note Email you, not rectify the problem with an update.

Would I renew my license to version 11 next year? I doubt it because I just wouldn't trust it to be any better than V10.... lets face it, isn't V10 suppose to be better than version 9?

Sorry, when my license runs out it stays runs out. I want a product that I can rely on without having to keep asking for help.
