Having ordered some bridal shoes online and arranged collection from the store, I needed to return some of the items which had to be done via the courier service Yodel. Sounds straightforward but after 2 failed collection dates (7-9pm )they were unable to offer anything more specific. So having waited in for 2 days for these items to be returned and refunded to my account, neither Bhs or Yodel can offer me any other alternative .So I have to wait in for a 3rd day without any specific window of time! Very frustrated with the poor customer service from both BHS and Yodel

I ordered some size 7 wedding shoes, they are lovely but are too big so I needed to return them and order the next size down. Very good value for money and the shoes are very comfortable. Sounds like a simple task. The dispatch note says I could return via a BHS store within 1 month so I took them to my local store only to be told they cant accept them. When I said the dispatch note said I could, the lady said because it is a wedding item they cant take it because they are not a BHS wedding store. I pointed out that the note said DRESSES have to be returned by courier, as these are shoes I dont understand why they cant accept them. 3 Managers came down and none of them knew what they were doing. They agreed I would have to return them by courier. After sittin in traffic for 30 mins to be sent away I was very unhappy. I have just gone on to the courier website to arrange a collection and the website is awful and I cant even seem to do that. No apolgy was offered from the BHS staff, they said my nearest store that would accept them is Lakeside which is about an hours drive away plus £4 in Dartford bridge fees. Yeah, thanks for the advice on that. Rubbish service.

Evie Merlot Bridesmaid Dress. I am a size 16 at the most, can get into some 14s. I checked the size guide online and it states that a 16 is 100cm around the bust and an 18 is 105cm. Unfortunately, they only had an 18 instore so I tried it and it was slightly too big. We then went on to order an 16 online. It arrived and there was a gap of at least 5 cm from each side of the zip at the top when trying to do it up! We then returned it and ordered an 18, only to find exactly the same problem and when measuring it, it is 100cm around the bust the same as the 16! Ordered another 18 thinking the tags were wrong but no, this one also measures 100cm and there is 5cm gap between the zip at top. Have come to two conclusions: 1. The dresses instore have been tried on so many times they have stretched - hence the 18 fitting instore and nowhere near fitting at home 2. Their online size guides a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy off! I am now awaiting delivery of a 20!!!!! Fingers crossed 4th time lucky.

The dresses we got were good. We had taken various sizes from the store in order for our bridesmaids to try the sizes in the comfort of our home. We returned, or should I say tried to return the ones we didn't Ned. One of which wasn't even taken out of the cellophane wrapper. Bhs wouldn't refund us! They said the dresses had snags on them. They do have snags, but it was not our doing! How could we snag something that was still sealed.
WARNING IF YOU BUY MORE ITEMS THAN YOU NEED. BHS WILL FIND SOME WAY OF NOT REFUNDING YOU!!

we looked everywhere for adult bridesmaid dresses and at last a lovely selection in bhs they were true to size lovely material and looked perfect, our girls were very happy thank you !
the prices were exceptional compared to other stores which were three times dearer, and not as good material!

been waiting for the Alicia dress in Fushia size 22 dress to come back in stock, finally have an e-amil saying item back in stock so i re ordered the dress only to find that the dress i have just received is size 22 merlot anna dress, seems like some idiot in the warehouse have put the wrong label on the wrong dress however i am waiting for a call back to see if it was the whole new stock of the dress i want to order or if it was just this one i have received.
I have bought my other dresses from the BHS range and they are perfect and great value for money, and I do think that BHS Wedding range was better in store than online ordering.

I had to order, send back, then order again two lots of the Blue Alicia dresses for my bridesmaids, they are lovely but i thought the quality of the dresses would be better and the sizing is a complete joke!
One of my bridesmaids is a size 10 but in this dress she will need a size 16! My other bridesmaid is a size 16 but in this dress will need a size 22!
I myself am a size 12 and could not get the size 16 to zip up!
Yes £240 is very reasonable for two bridesmaid dresses but i am now having to ditch the BHS dress idea as the sizes we now need are never in stock!
Also i would recommend you request the colour swatch as the actual colour of the dress is lighter than shown online!
I have found M&S Autograph/Occassions range is extremely reasonable, two beautifull dresses for £180.00 the pair and the size is perfect!
Come on BHS am sure we are not the only ones who have found the sizing and availability to be a joke

Never cease to be amazed at the idiocy of people expecting something to turn up the colour their monitor shows it online - millions of colour variations in monitors, it's a no brainer!!!

I am getting married in July this year. I brought 3 of the Purple Juliette Bridesmaid dresses. I had to order about 20 dresses before I finally found 3 that wernt faulty, actually fitted and was the right size compared to the label. My best friend is a size 10, she had to have a 14. My cousin is a 14, she needs the size 18 and my size 8 sister will need the 10. The sizing is terrible and im going to have to have all the dresses altered. I bought them from BHS as on a tight budget. They were £80 each but the amount im going to have to spend on them is probably more than I would have spend in a proper bridal shop. To be honest I regret buying them now but its too late too return them. Please do not waste your money on BHS wedding attire, its cheap and badly made

I have bought the Amelie dress at £84.00 and the Giselle dress at £60.00 (Giselle was £75 but they were having blue cross sale!).
I bought two because I liked them both and combined cost me only £144.00!!
I just need to decide on my favourite for next August now and accessorize!!
I would recommend looking for dresses out of season, as once September goes the stores are geared up for Christmas and can no longer shift them.

I bought the teal bridesmaid dresses and went through 9 before i managed to get 3 that were acceptable. Beads were falling off and the material seemed different on many of the dresses. I picked 3 from a bad bunch and when i took them for alterations on the hems the dress maker couldnt believe that BHS sold such poor quality items at this price. Lets face it £120 each wont break the bank but its not the cheapest on the high street either.

I understand that there stock levels are low and out of stock, but BHS were very good in keeping me informed and the Metro Centre store rang me frequently when the dresses I wanted were available. Now i have all my bridesmaid dresses. They are excellent quality and look stunning, i couldn't be happier. If you do have a problem with stock level ring the metro centre rather than customer services I found they were much more helpful!

I have just bought the AMELIE wedding dress from BHS, which i cannot wait to wear !! It fits perfect, and for the price, the quality is fantastic !! Very good if your on a budget !! My dress was 120 pound and i also got my shoes from there which i think are absolutley georgeous for only 28 pound !! They are currently having a sale at the moment so get yourself down there and have a look!! I do have to agree with what others have said though , the stock is quite low. xx

I am getting married in July 2010 and had priced up Bhs bridesmaid dresses and page boy outfits in 2009. When I went to try and buy them all this year, I discovered how shocking their stock levels are. They told me that they were only having a small amount in stores, with everything else online. Not true! They have very little in store and even less online! They simply do not have the range of styles or sizes they show in their brochure. In short, I have had to buy everything off ebay - luckily I have managed to get what I want... at a cheaper price! Fantastic range of garments, but shocking policy on stock levels. It is only March and I have been told they will not be getting any more stock!! A great shame.....get on ebay guys if you want Bhs outfits!

I bought 8 dresses from BHS Wedding Collection for our December wedding in 2005 - 1 for a 12 year old bridesmaid and 7 for flowergirls aged 4 to 11. The dresses were absolutely stunning, REALLY reasonably priced and looked gorgeous on the day. Everyone commented on them and I understand that 3 and a half years on years on they are still being used as fancy dress by the little ones-fully intact!!!

BHS Wedding Collection has fantastic prices and designs. I've currently tried to buy bridesmaid dresses and cant believe the amount of styles and sizes are out of stock. I'm outraged.

Bought two butterfly bridesmaid dresses at £65.00 each from the BHS Wedding Collection, and they had torn before we even got to the reception. On complaining we were told the children must have stood on them, which we know they didn't, as they only walked down the aisle and were carried everywhere else as the weather was not good. Complete waste of money.
I would recommend Debenhams where we bought dresses for half the price, and they have been worn over and over again, even to nursery.

My best friend is getting married in September, so we went to look for a wedding dress for her at BHS. I could not believe the quality and price of the ones in the BHS Wedding Collection. They were fantastic, with all the different sizes and styles, and really good cuts on them. The one she picked she will not even have to take in or alter, as it is a perfect fit. If and when I get married I will check out BHS for my dress, and hopefully save a few pounds to for the honeymoon.
