I feel compelled to write this review after reading a review posted on 21st February 2018. The experience described in that review is exactly the same as mine. I attended the office on a Thursday with a general query about signing up for hospitality work. I met a consultant who I had a conversation with, who persuaded me he had plenty of work available and I should attend the next day with my documents and register. A time was fixed for this. Despite the lengthy conversations the previous day when I attended the following day the consultant could not recall who I was or what was said the previous day. Nevertheless I filled out the forms we had a reasonable chat and I was told I would be put on the system and start receiving offers of work forthwith. That’s the last I have heard. I was told on the Friday I would receive a handbook. I didn’t. I emailed on the Friday a certificate asked for. No response. I emailed the following Monday asking if I needed to do anything else. No response. I emailed on Tuesday, no response. I went into the office on Wednesday, I was told the consultant was off ill that day. Fair enough. The person on the front desk acknowledged I was registered on their system though I had not been told and forwarded me the handbook. I emailed again today, asking where we go from here, you’ve guessed it, no response!! Frankly this is an utter shambles. I’ve been registered, though not proactively informed, but for what? Nothing. I’ve seen several responses on here from Blue arrow asking for full details to be sent to them through their central system. I’m happy to do that, but I suspect I won’t ever receive any offers of work if I do. Not that this bothers me greatly as I’ve heard nothing anyway. Blue Arrow over to you. I hope you are better at responding than your consultant in Birmingham who appears to have lost their keyboard.

First of all I was given an assignment to start at 11pm until 8am but when I arrived as rotored nobody was there? I got my travel refunded from Blue arrow but obviously I was expecting a full days wage which I didn't get. To make this issue worse a member of staff at Blue arrow giving me a new assignment threatened me saying that "You better not mess about the person who gave you the previous assignment or else!" Wow hang on blue arrow just sent me to a cold dark place in the middle of nowhere and I didn't get home until 1:30am. This was absolutely disgusting behaviour for anyone to display and made me feel very uncomfortable and I still feel I do not want to communicate with that individual horrible person. It's worth noting that the site where nobody was working was robbed only two weeks before so not giving me the sense of felling safe. The job blue arrow gave m e this week is a joke because first of all they have the wrong postcode which meant I was late and secondly they got the shifts wrong again which meant the delivery vans had left and once again I got paid for four hours instead of 11 because that warehouse closes early on a Saturday. I am not on benefits and have had no work for 3 weeks from Blue arrow and the two days I desperately need to pay the rest of last months rent they can't even get that right!??? I also asked in person and over phone on Friday for them to email me next week's rota, it's Sunday now and I still don't have it.

What is the point of writing to the Customer Services Department. There are so many bad reviews that this suggests as a company Blue Arrow have no customer satisfaction interest. Candidates are seen as an inconvenience and can be treated so badly. Consultants lie constantly. When you ask to speak to the Consultants you are always told they are not in the office. Often this is not true as I’ve called from reception and could see the Consultant. Waited weeks and weeks for replies to email and telephone calls. Why do Consultants lie? Why do Branch Management allow this to continue?

They just in it for numbers to please client. No respect for employees , and communication is a joke. They want everything from you , but get nothing in return. Just someone to answer phone or acknowledge emails / voicemails etc would be a start, as can rarely talk to anyone. The so-called site management team, won't commit to anything when asked , think to scared , but also lack.of understanding of languages Inc English in multi-lingual environment. Don't pay full hours at induction , expect you to work shifts as dictated Inc finish at 1030pm then start at 630am next day Only rated 1 as unable to rate ZERO

I was recruited by this company to work on behalf of another, I worked there from the 9th of May- until the 19th of July. I was signed off by the doctors with depression, and was subsequently fired by the agency. They did not pay me any ssp that I was entitled to, while I was off work, and are still withholding. I have requested my last weeks pay, as we worked a week in hand, meaning they still owe a weeks pay. I was advised I had been paid for every week I worked, yet when I have requested pay slips to prove this, they have ignored me. I have requested this information 4 times now, it is illegal to with hold pay and payslips. They have stopped correspondence, and I will be seeking legal advise if I do not receive a response by the end of the week.

Blue Arrow is a terrible job agency, nothing but lies and constant attitude ok we will look into this for you and just like the rest late on wages, not surprised. I we need to report job agency companies to the goverment and get a petion going, as they treat you sub human. They have very arrogant tone of voice and you can see very easy that some else is going on below the waters surface. It seem to me that job agency so to speak are all just glorified sales pople, in fact that is excactly what they are. The more cv,s they have and people on the books the more they earn off the back of you, there is a awful lot of lieing going on at the Castle Donington at derby site. They operate like the KnowHow pc world at Newarks site with Adeco, they don,t care, and are not interested in your thoughts or concerns. My advice susupect some thing deep rooted with the following. ie the contract says blue arrow can terminate you at any time, any bells going off yet folks. Did you know they have to by law to pay your wages on time and supply you with a wage slip weekly no exceptions. Know you rights on wages and payments people. It does not take weeks to pay you your wage, i suspect they may be holding on to the money in the banks to make interest off those peyments just a thought, as its mainly the bacs system and they do make money off that money sitting in the accounts. They cannot hold back wages from you by law they have to pay you weekly if that is what is stated in your contract. As you have bills to pay your selves and food / fuel / rent / mortgage / insurance / tax / extra luxury items / getting to work ect ect ect you get the idea. Adeco held back wages at KnowHow pc world distribution centre at newark. So the same pattern is going on with Job Agencies, its time we took our evidence to our local MP,s and shed light on Job Agecy companies and bring them out into the light and show them up for what they really are. They way they operate is very manipulative of written text on print and verbal practised exercise of spoken words to undermind potential employee,s. Such a shame is,nt that Uk so called job agency folk operate like this, lies more lies terrible treatment of employee,s and manipulating the system for bonus incentives like a sales person. And treat us good poeple like we are BEEP on there shoe, this has to stop and we have report this and what is really going tv, news papers, Local Mps, Goverment, Law. Tv adverts only propaganda or internet websites, but the truth is far worse as to what is really going on. You see if they were investigated they would make sure that on a given day or week just for that period it would all be made to look like peaches and cream, just a example of how they operate in reality. No job agency companies are abusing people, you should go home to your families and think long and hard as to how you conduct your self and see if you tell the truth. People like this are all over in job agency companies, not to be trusted. you are abusing peoples lives and home life and it effects our living standards and bills and life as a whole, you have not right what so ever to treat humans so badly. So no i don,t recommed Blue Arrow Or as one person put it, and quite rightly so. Broken Arrow. Terrible agency they should be shut down and not allowed to restart again under a new titled named company. Don,t go to this site, high turn over of staff and poor attitudes to people and they are good people too.

I started with blue arrow April 2016 Need I sy the trainer penny was so belittling and the way she spoke to us adults like we were children was discusting. People work hard in the hospital long hours with shitry management. A supervisor that dosnt know his head from his toe. They later said they will not renew my contract because there have no hours for me after I took all the hours possible ànd ext hours at night. Blue arrow you should be shut down immediately and taken overm buy a new customer.

This is the first agency I have used and the last.seen a job advertised and applied for it.the next day blue arrow on the phone could I go for a so called interview straight away.went for it and was told I was just waiting on a start date. 3 months on I'm still waiting emailed at least 12 times and phoned about the same.every time I was told I've just spoken to the company,I've got a meeting with them tomorrow lie after lie.so I wrote to the company myself.well that didn't go down well, was phoned to say I had no right to do this and had ruined there relationship with said company, was very rude and unprofessional.bottom line is the lies they had told me they did not expect me to write to the company.I wish I had read the reviews here first it would have saved a lot of time.STAY CLEAR NOT TO BE TRUSTED

What is the point of Customer Service saying they will look into complaints. The vast number of bad reviews over a number of years shows management do not care and will not change. Ive complained about staff telling lie after lie but nothing was done. As a company they very rarely reply to phone or emails. Consultants are always out of the office even when they are not.

Hi,
It seems that you are absolute right on the company... Yesterday I had a phone interview with them about a senior position and well I was shocked with their lack of seriousness . The recruiter said she will send me an email in order to send her a full cv and cover letter, though she never did.. I was actually stupid enough to call her next day to see if something is wrong and got the same answer!!
I think it is better this way as I would not want to have any job offering from them.

Just be aware that if you work for this lot & eventually are lucky enough to find a proper job, they will try & get out of paying your accrued holiday pay. I was lucky enough to only have to work for them for 3 weeks but when i asked for my accrued holiday pay, they used every excuse not to pay it. They tried to make out that you had to have done 3 months work to be entitled to any holiday pay. This is utter rubbish as you accrue statutory holiday pay from the very first shift you work. I had to threaten them will taking them to court before the tight gits eventually paid up.

Having worked for the same company for 20 years I found myself redundant, it was a shock to my system as I had always been a loyal and hard worker. I went to the Luton agency for help to find a job. Whilst waiting for my appointment, the two women were bitching about a candidate saying that people don't get they actually have to work for their money. They were really horrible about unemployed people, I was shocked they were saying this stuff out loud. They also looked at me like I was beneath them, these are people I would have put in their place in my old role. I. Was really annoyed, how dare they judge people. At my appointment, he filled me with hope on 3 possible openings with my experience. I went home and did what he asked and sent a covering letter and cv. I never heard back from them, after a month of chasing them, I got fed up waiting for their call. They are definitely not a recruitment agency and wasted so much of my time. Incompetence doesn't even come close. 6 months on, I still have not heard from them. Let's hope they never need help in the future!!!

The wrost agency ever. My boyfriend went to this agency more then 1month agò for ask them if have any job for Vodafone ( my boyfriend worked for Vodafone 1 year) They say that in that moment haven't nothing but if they will have something my boyfriend will be the first! Yesterday my boyfriend seen on Blue arrow website an opportunity for work with Vodafone and this morning he went immediately to the agency for say to them that he want to apply. The girl say ti him that this job is gone and my boyfriend was sad and upset because how is it possible that you have an opportunity for work in an evrionment that He was asked at the first time and you didn't call him. The girl say that the job was just a temporary and she thought that my boyfriend wasn't interested( she's not call him) and my boyfriend say to her that doesn't matter if was a temporary or not she's remember that my boyfriend worked for Vodafone before. Seems a joke but is true. The staff is really unqualified, they don't know how to work, don't know nothing about recruitment.

I left assessment feeling optimistic about the placement I had been offered. But after attending at yodel Wednesbury was told to wait in canteen by blue arrow rep. After waiting an hour was told I was not required and return tomorrow. Following day same again, was then informed I would not be paid whilst waiting. In 3 months I have been sent home on 18 occasions, unpaid after waiting a hour. When I have worked wages are constantly wrong. Unless you are related to rep or a eastern European I would find an agency that values and respects you enough to be honest with you.
Written on: 29/01/2016
I agree wit that. Prob the worst agency ever. They'd book you in for a shift and then you come, they're send u bk home. And plus they've always messes up with people's payment....that really shows how much of a careless they really are tbh, unless ur Eastern European.

Started work at the 'new' M&S distribution centre in Castle Donington 5 weeks ago. The initial recruitment was rushed, forms to be filled out were poorly photocopied, ambiguous and repetitive. Had brief interview with a lady who might as well have been watching TV as listening to me, not one thing I said seemed to register with her. Two ladies sat near me wanted to work only early shifts and evening shifts. They were both told they had to work the rotation roster, and so they both left. Since day 1, I have only worked earlies, despite asking for shift changes for home reasons, all declined, no reasons given, I was told they didn't HAVE to give me a reason, take it or leave it. There are far too many Eastern European workers 'running' this show, Blue Arrow have given them 'peak period' positions such as Lead Associate, which means walking around with a clipboard looking important and not wanting to/being able to actually help a colleague with a query. When I asked the teenage boy in his blue jacket (Lead Associate)for advice on requesting new safety boots (I'm a size 9-they gave me size 12 'cos that's all we have mate'), he quite literally turned his back on me and started talking to someone else as I was still trying to explain stuff to him. There is no way to describe how low and valueless that made me feel. I have never had any pay issues, I always got my wage slip by email and bank transfer without problems; this is mainly due to the fingerprint system M&S use to clock in and out. I doubt there is little human input to this system, which is why it worked so well. ALL the other reviews here on this site I can say do in the majority of cases sum up the situation at the Donington centre. Work like a dog, don't ask anything of the Blue Arrow staff because they either don't know and don't care, or they'll misinform you (not deliberately) and you'll end up causing more hassle for yourself. I came down a really bad virus that took me to A&E. My partner called the sickness hotline to tell them I would not be in for at least 72 hours on the advice of A&E. They call me the following 2 mornings at 7:15 am to ask why I'm not at work! On a separate occasion, they called to ask why I was not at work (at that time I was stood on the warehouse floor packing orders, having clocked in on the fingerprint system). My wife told them I had left an hour earlier to go to work, so they didn't even apologise, they just thanked her and hung up. SO my poor wife is left sat at home wondering if I am having an affair, or lying in a roadside ditch after a crash. She couldn't call my mobile as they are not allowed in the warehouse. She even called 3 A&E departments in panic. When I got home and she told me, I called the office to ask what had happened, and an arrogant idiot became somewhat condescending towards me, as if I had done someone wrong. Apologies are as rare hens' teeth here. In essence, if you want to work all the hours of the day, with no heed to the Working Time Directive because Blue Arrow decide to opt you OUT of it with disregard to whatever you say in interview, be told to pack faster by a teenage Team Leader who has not the first notion about customer quality being affected by KPI deliverance, and be generally made to feel worthless, then yeah, go work for BA at the M&S NDC. If, however, you have a modicum of self respect and are not desperate for money, then my advice is to find somewhere else. As I type this, I am about to go to their office in my car, dump all the PPE they proved on Day 1-especially the size 12 boots they gave me for my size 9 feet- on their desk, and hand them a one line termination letter. There is no 'contract', I signed nothing, was never given an employee handbook detailing my rights and obligations, so there is no notice period as far as I am concerned. Even if they say there IS, they're not getting it; it's MY life and THEY no longer have a place in it. Simples *tsk*

it is disgusting the way blue arrow do not pay wages on time, people have worked for that wage and have come off unemployment to do temp xmas work. its about time mark and spencer changed t.his agency and got a new one. as it does not look good on marks and spencer.

totally unprofessional company. After Two months they still cannot achieve paying people correctly. Some people on weekly pay have yet to be paid at all for over a month. They fail to understand workers have rent , council tax , etc to pay. They cannot produce pay slips which separate basic pay from overtime pay so as to confuse employees. The important word here is "confuse". Their attitude appears to be that if they can confuse workers, then they might get away with paying less.I hear that M+S are getting angry with Blue Arrow as the "peak"(Christmas) period is approaching and workers are refusing to work overtime as they know they wont be paid. Workers are walking out or not turning up for work after non payment of wages.Appalling attitude towards employees.
