These are one of the worst contacts I ever got!!! They’re suppose to be monthly contacts but I can’t even wear them for a month!!! I put them on in the morning before work and after less than an hour, my eyes are super dry. I’ve never needed eye drops for contacts before these. I throw them away after 1-2 weeks because they hurt my eyes & when I take them out, the contacts are so dry. I’m going back to my old brand. My bi-weekly contacts are way better than these terrible & cheaply made contacts. Whoever made these must not wear contacts because they’re awful!

I have been wearing these lenses for 2 yrs now the only problem is they do not come colored. if you drop them as i sometimes do I can't see well enough to find it. I would like it even better if they came in darker colors other than a light tint.

This company is THE WORST and I will never buy anything from them again! They offer a rebate program for your contacts, but make it extremely difficult to actually get your money. I had to speak to 5 different individuals and they still denied me my money. Even though I had sent everything they asked me to (directly from my doctor) and their own employee agreed with me...they had to send it to a black hole review board who denied what I sent in and never let me know. Then all my information disappeared and they could not see it anymore. I asked to speak to a manager and all he did was tell me that there is nothing he could do and he was incredibly rude about the situation too. I happen to know that other companies who offer rebates are much more customer service friendly and they do not make it so difficult to get your rebate back. The contact lenses themselves are fine. I have not really had any issues with the lenses. Be aware of this company...COMPLETE FAIL IN MY OPINION! Why would I give money to a company who doesn't care about me or the way they treat me?? Why would you??

I saw an add about gettting rebate if you buy more lense and brought a years worth or supply and after i brought them its been over 6months i am yet to see my money back and each time i call them they make me run around. please do not buy anything from this company you will spend more than you have to and the lenses are not that great either

Those of you complaining about Purevision 2 are probably like so any contact lens wearers I see everyday. Purevision 2 are not to be slept in, most contacts shouldn't be slept in. You can't just stick them in your eyes and expect them to do their job, if you as a contact lens wearers don't care for them properly, do you think your taught how to properly care for and proper hygiene practice with your contacts for entertainment purposes. These are by far best contacts I have ever had,but have severe astigmatism and these contacts do not shift or rotate, yes they do have a pale blue visibility tint. The best solution by far is Bio True they keep my Purevision 2 moist from insertion to removal. Most contact lens wearers are horrible at removing daily, cleaning properly and our first to complain about the lenses, your eye sight is nothing to mess around with. I am a contact lens specialist in an optician's office and it's horrific to see and hear lack of proper contact lens wear and care that goes on. I wear Purevision 2 wouldn't wear any other. Not all brands work for everyone, most complaints with any contacts tends to go back to wearer. A monthly lens like Purevision 2 is based on an 8 hour day. The longer you wear them each day the shorter the lifespan.

I have been wearing contacts almost 30 years. At my most recent contact examination I was told PureVision was no longer made and it was suggested I try switching to PureVision 2 (PV2). So I did. I have never had so many discomfort or quality issuses in a contact in my life. Before trying PV2's I had torn 2-3 contacts in my life. Out of the 15 or so individual contacts from my first try of this model at least 10 of them have torn. Two of these tore after less than two weeks and one was torn in IN THE PACKAGE before I ever touched it. These this have caused more dry eye issues than I have had in years and are extremely difficult to determine if they are inside out. I usually have to wear one of the PV2 lenses for several hours before I realize it is inside out. With all of my previous contacts, it was immediately obvious they were inside out by either feel when I put them in or visually when looking at them. I have worm B&L since I started wearing contacts and never had any issues with them but am seriously considering trying another brand next time I order.

I have been wearing the Bausch & Lomb Softlens Multi-Focal for many years and have never had a problem with defective lenses or vision problems, despite wearing lenses with a power of -10, add Low. As a matter of fact, these were about the ONLY lenses I could comfortably wear and still have very good vision. When I went to re-order these lenses a few months ago, my doctor told me B&L had discontinued the Soflens awhile back (they didn't know about this until I tried to order more). They told me B&L had replaced these GOOD, TRIED & TRUE SOFLENS MULTIFOCAL lenses with PureVision, a "new, improved contact that is better for the eye" -- NOT!! These lenses do not provide the same clear vision as the Soflens, their shape is different and do not fit my eye, they irritate my eyes and dry them out. Did I mention that not only do these "new improved" contacts irritate my eyes, but I see only about half as good, cannot even use them for driving, and definitely no night driving. Totally unusable and useless. End result: I'm very put out with B&L as I can no longer wear their lenses, and am now going through the long process of trying to find another suitable contact lense. With my vision, it is very difficlt. Some folks may be able to wear these contact, but B&L totally ruined it for me when they discontinued the Soflens Multifocal. B&L has lost me as a customer (and, from the reviews, a whole lot of other folks!) BRING BACK THE SOFLENS MULTIFOCAL!

I've been using lenses for more than 6 years on a daily basis. Bausch & Lomb always satisfies me with the quality of the lenses. PureVision are better quality and a harder than the 'Bausch & Lomb Soft Lens' and can be used for many hours without irritation. My sister complains that they are a bit hard when you first put them on the eye but for me this helps me cause they can be managed easier.

I have been wearing contact lenses for more than 16yrs.Till recently I was using softlens 59 monthly disposables by B&L and upgraded to these useless lenses. They have a number of problems making them almost impossible to wear due to the extreme discomfort that I feel. 1.These lenses are considerably thicker than all other lenses I have used so far. 2.They dry out in less than an hour and become very difficult to wear.I feel like I have to blink continuosly to be able to see clearly because they keep causing blurry vision when dry.I feel like these lenses will fold up in my eye when they get dry.I also get a very bad headache due to the strain caused by dryness The discomfort gets worse when I work at a computer. 3. I was told by my eye care practitioner that using B&L biotrue solution would solve my problem so I upgraded to biotrue from REnu B&L but the comfort only lasted a few days.It is just a lie that biotrue provides any lasting comfort. It is just an overpriced solution meant to go with an overpriced useless lens that is Purevision2. My advice :Be kind to your eyes and do not torture them with these lenses.I wish I had researched before wasting my money on them now I am just waiting for my stock to get over :( P.S. It is also a lie that they can be worn for 4 weeks, my lenses get almost impossible to wear by the time I am into my 3rd week of wearing.

I have a bad Astigmatism in one eye--and upon going to contacts tried several different brands. None of them worked--they wouldn't fit my eye right and would not stay in place. I almost gave up on contacts until I tried Bausch & Lomb Pure Vision toric lenses. They're comfortable and don't move or slid around my eye. I take mine out every day--but there are many reviews with people wearing them for extended periods of time. Everyone has a different opinion on which brand they like--but I give these a thumbs up for people who have Astigmatism.

I was told pure vision was discontinued so I purchased the PV2...it sucks, right away I could tell these are inferior...after 2 days my eyes were burning and could feel the constant dryness...I was informed that these are better than Airoptix night&day... these are extremely inferior to the airoptix and should be taken off the market, this could present serious eye problems for the customer...

These contacts are the most appalling I have come across. My eyes feel dry and scratchy pretty much from the minute I put them in to when I remove them. I can only put up with them for a few hours before they become so irritating I have to take them out to give my eyes a break and remoisten the contacts. DO NOT even contemplate buying these! You will regret it.

OMG much more expensive than my favourite softlens 59! TOO HARD. hard to remove. my eyes are sore, and tearing up all the time. and its only been a day!

I was trying to remove the contact from the Clear Care bottle and it tore in half. DO NOT GET THESE!!!

I have been wearing contacts for over 15 years and recently switched from oasis to PureVision. The experience has been horrible. The contacts scratched my cornea and my eyes were bloodshot red for a week. I had to schedule an appoinment with an opthalmologist and stop wearing contacts for a week and a half. I have since switched back to Oasis and the difference in comfort and feel is amazaing. Needless to say, I will not be wearing PureVision again and would definitely NOT recommend them to anybody.

I have been wearing contacts for over 30 years, from the old hard ones to soft, and used almost all brands at some point. I have to say they are by far the WORST lenses I have EVER worn!! As is stated by others I see, they dry out after a few days, and I cannot wear them more than a couple of hours before I have to clean and re-moisten them. I am stuck with a few more boxes, so I have to put up with it. No more after this. We have been lied to in advertising these, or doctors receive a good kick back, because they do not reduce the halos, and are the least comfortable of any lens I've worn, plus they refused my rebate.

Wow, I thought I was going crazy!! I have been wearing lenses for about 40 years and have never experienced this! At first my vision was great. Very sharp and clear then it was like a film appeared on one of them. Didn't matter how I cleaned them it would come back. I came to this board to find out if I needed to use a specific solution to keep them clean. I have managed to wear them for two weeks of the 4 they are supposed to last but I just can't tolerate them anymore. I used to put my lenses in at 7 am and out at 11pm with no trouble. Now I take them out as soon as I get home from work at 5:30 after suffering for most of the day. Is it possible that Bauch and Lomb has no idea of these problems????
written by on 08/10/2012
Don't do it. Since switching, I have had a scratched cornea 6 times. Cannot wear these things to bed. Stay with your old contacts.

Wish I would have read these reviews before I let my doctor talk me into a change. I'm a 25 year contact wearer and my doctor thought I should try the pure vision lenses. They were fine the first couple of weeks so I ordered the year supply. Big mistake. They got progressively more dry through the month and even faster with each new pair I wore. Now wearing daily disposables from daysoftcontactlenses and will never not go back from daily wear.

Oh calm down! First of all, you spelled horrible wrong. Secondly, everyone has different eyes and just because these lenses didn't work for you doesn't make them horrible. I'm the contact lens specialist at the Optometrist office I work for, and I can say that most patients who wear Acuvue lenses don't like anything else. In addition, in my experience most patients who wear Acuvue, over wear them A LOT. When I hear that a patient had to stop wearing lenses, that is usually why.
