The Two Screens Are Great, As You Don't Need To Un
The two screens are great, as you don't need to unlock the phone or anything to see the time or whether you have a new message, missed call etc, and it displays caller ID when receiving a call, without having to touch the phone. A lot of downloadable applications are available for this model also, as it's quite popular, which is good.
I would not buy a 6131 again, and if I knew that I would have the issues I've had with the screen, then I wouldn't have bought it in the first place.

Within Weeks Of Me Getting My Nokia 6131 The Hinge
Within weeks of me getting my Nokia 6131 the hinge fell apart and had to send to O2 for a replacement.
(Had not dropped it / ridden over it etc.)
Battery life is poor have to charge it up every 2 days or less depending on how many calls you receive / make on it.
Memory is the worse I have ever seen. I have had to delete the games and profiles etc and also standard ring tones along with text messages so that I have space to store photos and even then I can only take 15 - 20 pictures. I know you can buy a memory card but that would cost £30 + which I can't really afford at the moment and I don't think I should need to do this.

Took Delivery End Of January. Its Now May And I've
Took delivery end of January. Its now May and I've had four phones. Each one had software failure in some form. Loud cracks in the ear, cutting you off then a blank screen until it booted up. Some would lose the time and date when switched off. Shame because the Nokia 6131 is an attractive phone.

A Great Phone, Does Everything You Need It To, Has
A great phone, does everything you need it to, has a radio as well as mp3 player. I didn't think this phone would stand up to so much usage, and opening and closing of the flip, but it's still going strong. I've had the phone since June 2006.

A Step In The Right Direction For Nokia.......but
A step in the right direction for Nokia.......but , signal strength is poor for a Nokia phone , battery life is 3 days (not too good) , the filing system and storage is complicated and not very user friendly.
It is however a superbly finished handset and proper sized keypad that you don't have to operate with a pen.
I think I will stick with Samsung in future.....unless Nokia address these faults

Nokia Have Stepped Up The Mark With Their Flip Pho
Nokia have stepped up the mark with their flip phone designs recently and this Nokia 6131 is no exception. It is a stylish looking phone with some excellent features and being a Nokia it is of course easy to work your way round. The camera quality is very good as is the large internal screen.
Like I said the only bad points really are the battery life, which I have to say is pretty bad, unless you leave the phone and don't use it for anything it will drain very quickly, I'm having to charge mine nearly every day.
Also a bit of a bad point is the memory size, with such good facilities as the camera and all the other extras you can have on here in the way of MP3 tracks and down-loadable games, etc., it's such a shame there isn't the inbuilt memory to accommodate it all.
Overall though a very good phone that you won't be embarrassed to get out when it rings and despite its faults, I would definitely recommend this. Nokia always seem to hit the mark. I have tried various other brands in the past but will definitely be sticking with Nokia now.
