Teachers Pension

Seems pretty pointless adding my review because its obvious that nothing seems to get through to them. I first applied for my pension back in March. I am now two weeks away from my birthday, (mid June), when I should receive my pension and I still don't know what I'll be getting. All I know is they made a mistake in their calculations (which they finally admitted in a secure message last month), but I've heard nothing since. I submitted a formal complaint back in April about the appalling discrepancies in advisors - some have no idea what they're doing, some are apologetic but don't know how to help, some are downright rude. But again, no response. This is our money they are holding onto. 

Website is woefully short on detailed information. This is an incredibly complex scheme and there seems to be no transparency. Recently asked them for a calculation of benefits. I received the total annual figure but with no evidence of how this had been calculated. Letters and responses to online queries come back with typos and often fail to answer the question you raised. The telephone support has been inaccurate on several occasions. And so it goes on....Makes it virtually impossible to manage your financial affairs in an effective and timely way.

A very bureaucratic organistaion. Seems to have been taken over by Capita. Now offers a very poor customer experience. Does not offer any real information. They hide behind 'we cannot advise clients'. They don't even tell you when you need to claim and also try and get you onto their automated website which is very difficult to use. I had great difficulty getting my pension from these people. They are also not really supervised by their watchdog The pensions ombudsman - who are useless. I now check every month just in case there is a problem with payment.
