Let me start from the beginning, I've always used tama through out the years I started with a tama swingstar set in the early 80's to a artstar set all maple shell In the late 80's to the tama granstar drums in the 90's to the drums I have now the Tama starclassic b/b I absolutely love the sound over and above any of my other Kits that I've owed or have played, I'm a hard hitter, and play heavy aggressive Power metal and I've got to tell you, nothing ive played has souch a strong vibrant note and attack Like the 18"x24" bass drums I have now, I highly recommend this kit to everyone looking to upgrade Or maybe a lateral move to a newer kit, you will not be disappointed with a tama b/b kit, good price Amazing sound!!

Note: The Masai snare is also expensive, but worth every single cent - this frickin' snare is AMAZING.

Excellent, Brilliant and fully professional! Luv Tama Starclassic! Excellent tone, attack and a over all brilliant sound. The finish is done extremely well and looks awesome. Great for recording if you want a lively sounding kit and excellent on stage!
