The Dublin Travelodge Castleknock in the Dublin suburbian village of Castleknock offers good, reasonably priced accommodation, with decent transport links to the City Centre. The buses run from 0600 to 2330, every 10 minutes (39.) There is no direct service from the airport, so a taxi is necessary and they are very expensive. There is a diner adjacent to the hotel, this offers good food at decent prices. Dublin is a beautiful city, well worth visiting. A flight from Glasgow takes 30mins. (To put that into perspective for Glaswegians it is quicker than a bus into town from the suburbs!) To see Dublin properly I recommend a bus tour, these visit famous landmarks like the GPO, St Patrick's Cathedral, St Stephen's Green, The statue of Molly Malone and also the Guinness Storehouse where you can pick up a complimentary pint of Budweiser (joke). Bare in mind that Dublin is expensive so take plenty Euros, and there is a smoking ban in all indoor public places!
PS Prepare for the weather as it can turn rapidly as it rained everyday we were there, and there was also a huge hailstorm!
