Citroen C3 1.6 Exclusive has SensoDrive Gearbox, cruise control and automatic Lights and Wipers. I had my car on Motability in April 2005 and I loved it for the 3 years I had it. It never let me down and I was gutted I had to hand it back.
I wanted another one but Citroen stopped doing the 1.6i 16v SensoDrive only a 1.6i 16v Automatic so I decided I wanted to stick with the SensoDrive so I went for a C2 1.6i 16v VTR,
Even my Hand Controls worked perfect with the SensoDrive
Only bad point is the front pillers are too thick.

The Citroen C3 1.6 Exclusive has High seats and comfortable to drive. Front Window bars to thick on roundabouts can block out whole cars. Poor gear exchange in 1st to Auto. Bad follow up on problems. Really sorry I bought this car before I'd read other peoples comments.

I've owned my C3 for 6 months now, and covered about 6k in that time absolutely without fault, I've had not a single problem with this car.
That said, I only saw the horrific reviews for this car, and the embarrassment of being last on the Top Gear reliability board after I purchased mine. I then continued driving poised for mine to break, without that happening.
I bought it with low mileage, only 8k on an 03 in early 05. I figured, I do a lot of mileage, if it was going to break down it would have pretty soon, but I don't predict that it will.
It is a very comfortable car to drive, with a surprisingly comfortable up-right driving position. I particularly like the digital speedo. This car has a lot to offer on motorway journeys, I've had no shortage of needed power from the 1.4 petrol, perhaps probably needing slight working on uphill over taking, but that's expected.
I'm happy to report that I've had no problems with my on board computer, it is still pretty clued in, and knows exactly what's going on when. I also like the feature of the rear windscreen wiper coming on when you reverse in rain.
The car is loaded with differences that people will either like or loath, such as the indicator chime, minimalistic dials and bubble shape.
This car is very safe however receiving high ratings in the Euro N-cap tests, fitted with four airbags and a bunch of other safety devices like side impact beams.
It is difficult to say whether I would recommend this car on account of the number of problems other people have experienced, so all I'll say is I haven't experienced a single problem.

I paid £12-500 for my Citroen C3 has £3000-00 of extras on it. They told me it is worth £9000-00 now after 5 months & 3000 miles.
I like the car but I dont like the dealer they are not intrested in any faults on the C3. My wife & I are disabled the C3 is ideal for people with disabilites, Its High up. The Sun roof is fantastic, It drive sfantastic in the snow.
The car is a Citroen C3 exclucive 1600 senserdrive it has all the options except sat/nav.
I took Delivery of My new Citroen C3 In September The Problem started within two days of receiving it.
(1)It came with dents in the tail gate, The dealers said they could not make it any better.
(2)The cruise control does not work properly, It cuts out when it comes to a hill, The garage says thats how they work (THIS IS DANGERES ON THE MOTORWAY).
(3)It Does Not Ingauge 1st gear when moving off.
(4)The brakes bind all the time the garage says they have fixed them, NOT SO.
(5)It rains in on the passinger side the foot well it full of water.
(6)The leather seat are craking already.
(7)The door seal has disintergrated.
(8)It does not like to select revers gear.
(9)The alarm goes of by its self.
(10)And on top of all that the car was parked on the forecourt of the dealer going for more repairs and was smashed up.
(11)It only does 31.5 to the gallon Not 45 as they recommened.

Tammy,
See a solicitor and tell him your problems, the faults that you describe should not be there and in my humble but not official opinion, this car (and its dealership) is not fit for the purpose for which it was purchased.
Like you I own an Exclusive but mine is the larger Diesel 1.6 engine. The Cruise control holds the hill with absolutely no problems, I do not have a sunroof relying on the Air Conditioning which works perfectly.
Unlike you, my Dealer, Messrs Tonkin of Bugle in Cornwall are excellent and the broken bonnet microswitch (my only fault) was fixed quickly after a reassurance that the bonnet was not going to fly open!
