ABSOLUTELY APPALLING FOOD! INEDIBLE!

We called in here this evening for a meal and ordered 1 fish and chips and 1 halloumi burger. When the fish arrived the batter looked soaking wet with oil and my husband pressed it gently with his fork and oil just flooded out of it. The batter on the fish was uncooked, mushy and soaked in oil. Obviously the oil hadn't been hot enough. We called the waitresses and showed her the fish and said it was inedible. She apologised and took the fish away and said she'd get another one cooked. After about 10 minutes, during which time I'd eaten half of my meal (which was also luke warm) a new fish and chips was brought and placed on the table. However, this was exactly the same as the first fish; soggy uncooked batter swimming in grease! The batter was exactly like a sponge when pressed with a knife or fork...all the oil just oozed out of it. My husband took it up to the kitchen pass where the waitresses was standing and showed her in front of the kitchen staff what the fish was like. She offered him to order a different dish but he said no...enough was enough and he wouldn't eat anything. The kitchen staff just stood there and didn't say a thing. So, I ate half my meal and my husband didn't eat anything. I'd never, ever visit The Longbow again. The food was absolutely disgusting! Without question, it's the worst quality food we've ever had in a pub! If i could have given zero rating I would have.

Attitude Of Manager

We booked a table of 8 ,treating my mother who is on oxygen 24/7 and don’t leave the house . We got there and manager on the door didn’t even bother to say hello or smile and just asked our name and showed us our table , didn’t bother to walk us to the table .

We sat down .chairs were disgusting dirty that my sister refused to sit on it and we changed the chair ourselves .

Table was very dirty and greasy ( I touched it as I thought it was water trace ) asked one of the team member to give us another table she said there isn’t any .

I went back to manager and explained about chairs and table , he rudely said that he cleaned it himself and it’s clean , I asked him to come and have a look for himself but he replied what do you want me to do about it ? And then walked away and didn’t come back to the door where he was stationed , my family decided to go somewhere else and left . While we were leaving the waitress went to him and said they are living come back outside .

Send an email to the company but no answer .

However we went to a pub nearby castel mynach food was amazing and the owner and his team was so friendly and welcoming .

I would never go back to beefeater . As from my previous experience ,they really not customer focused .

A Family Member Was Having A Birthday Meal, And We

A family member was having a birthday meal, and we were invited to the Longbow Beefeater to dine with them. The table was booked at 7:30pm on a Friday night, and I was a bit anxious as I had a young child with me. However, the atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly. The team member gave us a balloon for my son, and a colouring pack. The children's menu didn't have nuggets or fish fingers on it, but we were very impressed with the portioning of their meals! I ordered a well done rump, but the waitress advised me to try the sirloin instead as it would be less tough. It was a much more tender cut of meat, and I was pleased the staff were so confident in their job. There was however an issue with an employee at the bar, who did not stop complaining about his colleagues and his job. Everyone else seemed to be happy, I think his mood affected a few people though and they should deal with this issue.

Overall excellent service, great food and an excellent place to chat and catch up with family over a delicious meal.
