Met Office App

The met office sometimes isnt the most reliable of forecasts, but its better than a lot of others.

This app is a really useful way of displaying the information available.

Its got all the obvious stuff - ie forecasts for different areas, including 3 hour breakdowns of each day - but its also got a couple of great additions.

Most notably, it allows you see a near-live satellite image of rainfall. It also allows you to see the last few hours of satelitte imagery and it then plays it - which shows you where the rain is coming from and where its headed toward. It also shows the intensity of the rain.

I find this invaluable for predicting if the English summer days are going to be dry or wet.
