Good Points
Clean, comfortable beds and recently refurbished, in a quiet area near port. Open 24 hours.
Bad Points
Stayed there twice and although we had booked months in advance the second time we were given a room with a faulty window that was awaiting repair. However, when we pointed it out to the receptionist we were given another room, so at least it was rectified.
General Comments
If you have arrived at Athens airport in the middle of the night en-route to one of the islands, then the Dream Hotel is an excellent choice to get some sleep and breakfast before continuing your journey. It seems to be becoming quite popular and it is wise to book in advance. Staff are friendly, for a city centre hotel. The area it is located in was, until recently, a bit dodgy but is now being transformed completely, it has new pedestrian ways and good shops. Bedrooms and bathrooms are compact but more than adequate for a city centre hotel at this price. The breakfast room is bright and airy offering a simple but good breakfast. The first time we stayed for just the one night but this time we extended it to two so we could visit the centre of Athens, so we must have been happy with it!
If you are stuck for something to do at night, lie in bed and count the ceiling lights in your room, in fact the whole hotel has been lit by an electrician with flair!
