MartinJP's review of Gelert Cadiz 5

“The 5 rating would only apply if you were very slim,...”

★★★☆☆

written by MartinJP on 18/06/2007

Good Points
The Cadiz 5 is a very good tent with proven waterproofing.

Bad Points
Not quite enough height to stand up in the porch, some quality issues.

General Comments
The 5 rating would only apply if you were very slim, very friendly and didn't fidget! It was a comfy size for the two of us, plus our usual gear for a weeks camping. The back vent flap had been stitched badly and could not be fully opened, the base straps were so tight that they made getting the pins into the poles a bit of a struggle. A couple of nights it tipped down all night and I can say that it did not leak at all, which can't be bad. We are now looking for one with a bigger, walk-in living area.
