Good Points
Everything! Calgel does not damage your nails, in fact it helps them grow and become stronger.
Bad Points
None! You will never want to go back to normal nail varnish.
General Comments
I have been having Calgel Nails for about two and a half years now. Before I had Calgel, my nails, although long, would split and crack at the slightest knock. Now it is very rare indeed that I break a nail, in fact I don't think that I have broken one for over 9 months.
Calgel is painted on like a nail varnish and there are a range of colours to choose from, including French Manicure for the natural look.
Calgel does not chip and I have even cleaned using bleach and it hasn't ever marked them. I usually have infills every 4 weeks, which is literally just the top bit of my nail painted because of the gap that appears with them growing and I usually have the gel taken off and have the painted again after another 4 weeks.
If you have nails that are weak or are brittle or even if you have a job where you are typing or cleaning which chips your nail varnish, this is a fantastic option.
The best thing is getting ready to out for a night and not having to worry about making your nails look presentable, they are a massive time saver.

Following on from my previous review, the lady that does the Calgel nails is no longer working from the White House in Mossley, she works from home now, so if you are reading this review and are in the Mossley/Ashton area you could contact her directly. Her company name is Pure Health and Beauty.

Couldn't agree more, I have really soft nails which never grew, my thumbs were a nightmare, always cracked accross about 1/4 of the way up the nail bed. No more, I have been having Calgels for about 18 months and I've never looked back. I cheat and get clear then I can paint them whatever colour I want.
I've never had any damage to my nail after removing them but you neeed to be patient and not force/pull them off. I had them done while away on holiday and they didn't last as long as when my local salon do them, so maybe you just need a good nail technician.

I found this review very helpful because...I was shown these for the first time at a local salon and as I have very brittle and soft nails - they break so easily, this looks great. As I work with food, I have alwyas been wary of Acrylics, so often apply false nails myself. I am going to give the Calgel a try and see how I get on! To have nice nails all the time would be wonderful. Then all I need to do is find someone to treat the cellulite, flatten my tummy and get rid of crepey looking skin!!
