Bad Points
I have the dial-up-service which is slow and cumbersome. Upon signing onto my account I have timed it taking as much as 83 seconds before joining. The content is appalling and the news items worse than the gutter press and more often than not inaccurate third rate journalism. As a search engine it is irrelavant and you are better off using Yahoo or Google anyway. There is inadequate room for retaining e-mail correspondance. Altogether you would be better off writing letters and buying a newspaper.
General Comments
The AOL UK support service is awful. They don't appear to know what they are talking about. I phoned to ask for them to e-mail me a complaint form (as stipulated under complaints procedure) and they kept saying they don't do that you have to write! What's the point of having e-mail if you are told to write letter!

After reading one review about using AOL's dail up-you must be the only person who's still on dial up as most are now on Broad Band and AOL's is very good.
It's such a shame you've had negative vibes from AOL as they're the cheapest to use.
Fair enough their tech service is really useless, it used to be damn good when it was free, but if you know someone who's pc literate, ask them.
Yes, I've 'been the before' with their supposedly complaints form-I don't think it exists! but if you phone them and really voice your complaint I'm sure they'll try and fix you a good deal. Good luck
