Good Points
Amd Athlon 1900+ (1600Mhz)Quite fast in laptop terms, 4 usb ports (very nice for scanner, printer, gamepad and DEC2000 freeview), It looks stylish and the screen has got very good image. Battery lasts for a very long time.
Bad Points
The biggest disappointment is the graphics card. A 32 MB TwisterK + S3Hotkey, which seems to do less than a 16 MB Ati Radeon. The speakers are not good, but that's ok because I use a set of earphones most of the time. I wish they made the lap top with the new Geforce Go graphics cards and added two speaker to the left and right side of where the earphones/mic/linein are placed. No floppy Drive, but who's gonna need one tummorow?
General Comments
The "i go" 2000 is actually a very powerfull laptop and the most surprising aspect of it was the 32 mb graphics card. But I soon found out that the card does not procude some of the shadowing effects and other features that the Ati and nVidia graphic cards do. To most people this is harmless since they probably don't play games like famous Splinter Cell, or Metal Gear Solid that require a 32 mb graphics card but won't run on this PC. This PC is great, for using most of todays standard applications like office, AOL, most GAMES (specially strategy) and IE explorer, and at £999 it is still a great investment for the future. The overall design of the laptop seems pretty good to me, it stands out, maybe too much. I have had it for 4 months now, and it definetly doesn't seem like it is falling apart anytime soon.

I go 5581 is RUBBISH. I am programmer and I work with computers my whole life. The processor (
<br>AMD ATHLON XP - obviously ) is overheating and the computer keeps restarting. If you go to packard bells website forum, believe me you can read a lot of posts with exact same problem but I didn't find any answers. My recommodation: DONT BY PACKARDBELL NOTEBOOKS.
