Firepower Paintball Was A Great Experience For A F
Firepower Paintball was a great experience for a first time paintballer. The site/arena was clean, well laid out and I had a blast. The staff were accommodating and friendly especially when you take into consideration the fact that no one in my group knew how to really play. We were all first timers. The arena itself was huge. It was indoor, in Northwich, and looked like it used to be a warehouse. There was no danger of tripping and it was very wide open. Of course, that didn't matter because my group still got massacred. My only qualms about an otherwise fun day would be the price of paint but I realize that you are paying for the convenience of having a paintball supply onsite. Overall it was a great experience. I plan to go again some time soon and I still recommend it to anyone I know who plays paintball.

We Have Just Returned From A Day Paintballing With
We have just returned from a day Paintballing with Firepower Paintballing at Creewood Farm just outside of Warrington in Cheshire. Booked online we found the initial booking to be staightforward and reasonably inexpensive. The website (www.firepowerpaintball.co.uk) offers a wide range of packages to suit everyone from singles to large parties with a range of options available depending on your requirements. The basic package allows you 100 paintballs to start with and then you have to buy more as you need them at £7 per 100. Paintballing is great fun for all ages and types but you should be warned that it can be quite painful if hit in a tender or exposed place so wrap up well! The arena's at Creewood farm are well planned and kitted out and games consist of basic 'us against them' scenarios where teams are colour tagged and given tasks such as taking your opponents' flag and bringing it back to your side without being hit. On the Saturday we were there, there were a lot of people and groups were quite large; games lasted typically about ten minutes each and if you were hit you were out, in our 'day long' package we had six games like this. The games were good if a little too short but reasonably well organised, the only downside for us was the attitude of some of the Marshalls who organised the games, we found them to be short and aggressive. Yes I understand that the health and safety of customers is paramount and you will get the odd idiot firing off a shot when they're not supposed to but the Marshalls' reaction to some people who didn't quite toe the line was a little over the top.
I don't know if it's typical but I guess it may be, but most of the groups of people taking part were men aged between 20 and 50 who in their competitiveness and adreneline fuelled games used some very bad language indeed which was inappropriate considering there were a lot of young children there too.
Firepowers website, in their 'What you get' section, lists: Light lunch provided. The light lunch we were provided with was a low quality burger on a dry roll and that was it. It also says: Free hot drink on arrival - we weren't offered one and the website also boasts 'Full liability insurance'but everyone was made to sign and date a liability waiver form before partaking. The only other thing was that if you took part in each game of the day your initial 100 paintballs were nowhere near enough and you found yourself having to return to base to buy some more. I am by no means 'trigger happy' but personally had to buy 500 more paintballs to get through the games which cost me an extra £35 on top of my booking fee.
In conclusion Firepower Paintballing at Creewood Farm in Cheshire provides a good fun day out for the 'lads' but can be expensive and in my opinion promises a little more than it actually delivers.
