The Worst Salon I Have Ever Been To - Do Not Go Here!!
THE WORST SALON I HAVE EVER BEEN TO - DO NOT GO HERE!!
After being charged 500 POUNDS for hair extensions, they started to fall out after less than two weeks! The glue went soft meaning that it spread onto my scalp. This gave me PAINFUL SORES!
I am now having to take legal action against them due to them refusing to give me the owners contact details or a refund!!!

Dreadful
I have no idea how this place Is still running. It is filthy and the results of my spray tan were shocking. The machine was clearly broken because it splattered tan onto me rather than a spray. They denied it and said nothing can be done unless you prove the machine was broken!? It was crystal clear that it was from the splatters on my skin. Neither did they offer for me to scrub it off in salon before I left.
Terrible service
Unprofessional
Dirty
Do not go here!

Terrible Customer Service
Booked an appointment, told I would be seen in 15 mins. Had to wait for half an hour. Came from work early for the appointment. No explanation, was ignored. When I complained a female hairdresser with glasses snapped at me said she knows and asked me to have a seat.Truly disgusting behaviour.Eventually another male hairdresser came and gave me a nice wash, cut and blow dry. Really poor customer service, would not go back here.
Complained about this directly to the salon and they apologized and refunded my money. They also offered me a free haircut. Good outcome out of a negative experience.

Kerating Treatment Different Than Others, Cute Salon
The salon is cute. I did research on the difference of getting a Brazilian Keratin Treatment or Brazilian Blowdry. I decided with the Treatment because it seemed that it left hair straighter. I chose this salon for the location and the previous good reviews. However, when I arrived, I was given a paper explaining the effects, procedure and after treatment. I was surprised to read that I could wash my hair after 2 hours of the treatment, when all the research I found said I had to wait 72 hours. I asked the girl and she said yes, it was ok to wash it. The procedure was done rather quickly I thought. I guess I don't have much hair! Anyways. The girl was a bit apprehensive to cut my hair, my ends were really bad, but I insisted and she did, I wanted more, but she said that all the bad ends were gone. (I got home and I noticed more so I just cut an extra inch at home). I didn't wash my hair after the 2 hours because I didn't really believe it should be done. But when I woke up the next day, my hair was way oily, bent, and sweaty, so I decided to rinse it. After it dried, I noticed my hair was a bit wavy, not completely straight, of which I got a disappointed. My hair has been really dry because of the hard water here in London, so the treatment nourished it but didn't leave it straight. I asked my friends that had it done before, and they said it's supposed to leave the hair straight or very very close to it. Also, that they never heard that it could be washed in 2 hours. I immediately straightened it after to see if it would be back to full straight but after 3 days of not washing my hair, it was back to wavy. Now that it has been really humid in London, my hair got a tiny bit frizzy and got an extra wave. So I recommend the treatment, but go for one that's 72 hours. I looked for any other salon that has a treatment that can be washed after 2 hours, couldn't find any. Overall, I was treated well at the salon, and the girls are nice. But I'm not going back.
I contacted them and told them what happened and that I was unhappy. They fix it and recut it. The salon manager is really nice.
Contact them and tell them you are not happy, I did and they fixed it. Then go to Whole foods and buy a shampoo without any Sodium, they are a bit pricey but worth it, and don't wash your hair too often. From then on my hair felt really nice for up to end of December, but it was a bit flat if I didn't blow dry it. Don't give up! Definitely contact them!
I have just had my Keratin treatment done and am experiencing exactly the same thing. Was worried that I was going mad by worrying about the fact that they said I could wash it after 2 hours, but to be honest my hair doesn't feel all that different to before, and the lady who did my hair didn't even cover the split ends with the treatment. Not sure whether to leave it for three days, or just wash it off now, if it will make no difference either way? Waste of money!

I Have Been Going To This Salon Now For Around 5 M
I have been going to this salon now for around 5 months, after purchasing a discounted Living Social voucher. I thought I'd go with an open mind due to the fact that I was getting a full head of highlights and a cut for under £100 in a Central London salon. Viola the salon's colourist did a fantastic job and I now go there every 6-8 weeks for a cut and colour. The staff are lovely and friendly and Viola offers her advice re colour whilst listening to what you actually want..I now pay around £115 for a full head and a cut..The salon itself is tucked away, a couple of streets back from Long Acre and it's basic with no frills, but at these prices, who cares. Give this salon a go, you won't be disappointed!

Will Be Back!
I went here to get my hair cut and eyebrows threaded, this was my first time here and I wasn't sure what to expect. They did a wonderful job and both services were quick and definitely worth what I paid for. I'll definitely be back!
(and I LOVE that they're open Sundays!)

The Best Cut
I went in during lunch time for a cut to fix a style that had grown out poorly. My appointment was with young Olivia.
Olivia is fantastic and super nice. Her instincts are great, she's obviously skilled, and she really listened to me.
She asked me what my daily routine was, how high/low maintenance my hair was, and tailored my cut to what I usually do. It was comforting. I walked out of there confident and I can't stop catching my new hair in the mirror.
The Covent Garden Salon does text reminders, which I found to be very helpful. I scheduled my next appointment well in advance.

Waxing For Cycling - "yeah Right, I'm Not A Girl".
A fellow cyclist recently advised waxing as a cure for chaffing when on long cycles and in races. My first reaction was "yeah right - I,m not a girl" but after reading other reviews I started to come around to the idea.
Being a straight male the whole process of what and how to get it done was totally alien to me. I'd never shaved down below, only trimmed now and then. My only experience of waxing was pulling off plasters after cuts and scrapes. This is where The Covent Garden Salon scored their first points!
After a fumbling attempt at describing what I wanted, the girl on the reception desk really helped. She made me feel welcome and a lot less nervous and directed me to a colleague for a free consultation. This lady explained the options, recommended that I have a Brazilian wax and explained the process. She made me feel less embarrassed about the whole situation and I booked an appointment with her. She advised avoiding 'Dutch Courage' as alcohol effects the blood vessels but did say that a couple of pain killers might help, which amazingly they did!
When I arrived for the appointment the salon was empty which helped to calm me down and I started to feel less awkward. Again the process was explained and everything was going fine until it was time to take my clothes off. This is where a potential problem occurs for a red blooded male - the women who work at the salon are all extremely attractive and as a result my genitals decided it was a good time to wake up. I've never been so embarrassed but even this was dealt with extraordinary poise and she explained that it actually helped with tightening the skin!
The whole process did feel strange as I was lying there with my legs splayed but the sensation of having warm wax and then soothing cream spread over your genitals is actually rather nice! (Be warned guys this can lead to a situation that is so unbelievably embarrassing that no hole would be deep enough!)
Now for the amazing bit - it didn't actually hurt that much at all. There were a couple of areas that smarted but not the bits that I expected and I'd say 80% was bearable.
I cant understand the horror stories I'd previously heard about waxing and apart from my genitals embarrassing me, the whole process was OK. It does feel a bit odd and slightly sexy walking around afterwards as the skin is obviously more sensitive without hair and you can feel your clothes rub but it has had the desired effect for my cycling.
Overall I was immensely impressed with the salon. The staff were friendly, professional, discreet and pretty! The salon was clean and very quite and conveniently close to the tube station.
The question now is do I get my legs done?

Most Horrendous Wax I've Ever Experienced
I been having a bikini wax for years and never have I been left so distraught, bruised and embarrassed. The lady doing my wax hardly spoke any English and when I instructed her what I wanted (Brazilian), I thought she understood but proceeded to give me a Hollywood.
I asked her to use the hot wax and not the strips, she obviously didn't know what she was doing and made such a mess of it that after 45(!!!) minutes another Beautician had to come and fix it. She had left the wax on too long so it was stuck to my skin in big chunks and couldn't be ripped off. She then poured talc over it which made the mess worse. It couldn't be soaked off so the other Beautitions had to rip it, leaving my tender skin red raw and bruised.
I was left with literally no hair, in a lot of pain with a bruised bikini line. it was an incredibly painful and a completely undignifying experience.
When I received a call from the manger after my experience he apologised and said the lady was not trained to do hot wax, which for me is no excuse. I had been before and they knew my previous requests. And if she wasn't qualified then she should not have carried it out.
Disgraceful salon. AVOID IT if you want to be left with any dignity. Or hair.
