Larwhite's review of Palm Tungsten W

★★☆☆☆

“As a PDA Handheld the Palm Tungsten W is right up...”

Written on: 26/06/2004 by Larwhite (1 review written)

Good Points
It's the cats meow as a PDA. Integrated real keybord thats not too small. Palm O/S really keeps it simple and easy to use. Syncs are for better than manual file transfers.

Bad Points
That dang flip cover phone integration was the worst mistake palm ever made.I've used it professionaly for 6 months and replaced 3 covers and sent 2 in for warranty replacement due to wear on the female port for the phone jack.

General Comments
As a PDA Handheld the Palm Tungsten W is right up there with the best, if you don't mind the older Palm O/S. I swear by Palm O/S, and so do my collegues. The phone however leaves alot to be desired. The flip phone cover will break eventually, so buy a few spares. It uses a none standard 3.5 mm pin, and you'll have to shop for a comparable ear bud with a utility button. Also. none of the aluminum cases support the phone, or incorporate the phone usage other than access to the phone port. (Even the case sold by Palm)
