Good Points
Friendly locals,
lots of good pubs to try,
Fantastic scenery,
lots of places to visit.

Bad Points
Weather is changeable,
roads are busy in some villages.

General Comments
We spent a week in Derbyshire centred in Baslow.

Places visited included Chatsworth House which was excellent, Matlock Bath where you can visit Heights of Abraham via cable car which is very good and is also home to Gullivers Kingdom which is great for younger kids.

We found that many of the local pubs catered well for children and the quality & value for money of food was particularly good.

If you do go to this part of the world, don't miss the Tram musuem at Crich, great fun.
