Alexandra Sunset

The owner of the Alexandra Sunset was an obnoxious; he would make Basil Faulty look highly competent! No ball games in the pool, no card games by the pool, no inviting your friends into his bar (which was always empty!!). He blamed us for every bit of noise that came from the surrounding area at night time even although it was not us. There was a good mix of people in the hotel from teenager's right up to pensioners and he seemed to have it in for everyone...... He only showed basketball on the TV in his bar when all the British people wanted to watch football so nobody drank in it!! The food on site was terrible. Breakfasts consisted of bread with a bit of cheese, cornflakes with the lumpiest out of date milk you have ever seen etc. Both myself and my friend ended up with food poisoning due to dodgy omelettes which we purchased from the bar on the second day.

The rooms in the hotel were very basic. You had to hire a deposit box, air con and a fridge.....yes that's right a fridge!!! this added about 100 Euro onto the cost of the holiday.

The greenery surrounding the hotel meant that the place was infested with mosquitoes and ants..... again not a pleasant experience.

I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.
