“The Sennheiser HD 280 pro headphones are one of the...”

Good Points
Strong bass response (not the boomy kind, but deep pure bass). Neutral midrange and excellent treble. Very good set of headphones for the money. These can be used with a MP3 player as they are only rated at 64 ohms. They are very revealing, and in my opinion, better than the HD25 SP, which have a similar sound.

Bad Points
If you want a pair of headphones to use when on the street, these are too bulky. In that case, the HD25/HD25SP might be a better choice. They may sound a bit harsh in the midrange at high volume levels, but that's an indicator that you are listening at a too high a level.

General Comments
The Sennheiser HD 280 pro headphones are one of the best <$120 closed cans that I have owned and used.
