Good Points
If you appreciate Purple and Silver and something a little different from a "normal" cleaner.
The dust bucket is easy to remove and clean with a water jet wash.
Sits halfway up staircases very well.
Motorised brush head useful.

Bad Points
Very plastic in construction. Noisy.
Tension on cable strong and doesn't go back into the cleaner when you get closer to the plug like some other cleaners do.
Brush head fragile.

General Comments
At first it's great.. then you notice a few things:

- Moving from hard floors to carpet left a trail of debris on the carpet.. even following Dyson recommendations about turning the brush off on hard floors.

- It's not as easy to move around as you might think, tending to get stuck on corners rather than slide round.

- I'm not too keen on seeing all the dust I've collected either.

Within 48 hours of using the cleaner it broke. The motorhead (which is what you're paying for in this model) snapped off in normal use leaving wires exposed. Dyson sent a replacement within 48 hours.. their service was excellent.

But I was disappointed overall, expecting much for the amount paid for this top-of-the-range cylinder cleaner.

The cleaner is now back in its box awaiting collection and will be substituted for a Miele Revolution 600.

As my fiancee commented.. the cleaner is meant to clean with minimal effort on your part.. it sits in the cupboard most of its life so looking pretty shouldn't be a priority.
