Samsung RB1855VQ - This was a purchase out of...”

written by Veee on 06/05/2005

Good Points
This is probably the only refrigerator you can buy that's less than 36" wide while being less than 30" deep.

Bad Points
All the shelves are full width shelves. There's no possibility of ever adding an auto icemaker. The refrigerator controls are not child-proof and are located on the outside of the refrigerator 3' above the floor.
There's also no way to customize the door pockets and it doesn't include a butter door. The door shelves are all just plain old shelves.

General Comments
Samsung RB1855VQ - This was a purchase out of necessity. A $550 refrigerator that was the largest refrigerator that could replace an aging 27" x 29" GE model. For another $170 I could have gotten the RB1955 model which only adds child proof programming to the exterior accessible temperature control panel. For another $130 on top of that, I could have had a reversible door and an auto icemaker. That's too much money for the same exact refrigerator. The only other feature in the other models that I discovered was that they changed the interior light bulb... that's it! I compared instruction manuals. (add more for the fake looking stainless steel "titanium" finish, which is magnetic)
