Hudhuranfushi Is A Beautiful Island And Am Suprise
Hudhuranfushi is a beautiful island and am suprised to read reviews by another person been there almost at the same time as I had been there. The staff was very friendly, rooms beautiful and the reef was superb. One of the best resorts and value for money holiday. The food was great and had a large variety. I did not see any flies there as I read in the other review. If at all there were any it was negligebale and is part of the island stay. You cannot complain about children's behaviour dwhile having food. After all they are children. They have just started learning what to do and what not. I would say it should be taken in a sporty manner. The island was vast and had lots to offer. The beach bungalows had great view of the ocean and were right on the beach. Yes I heard that some of teh beach bungalows were not very good as they were close to some garage. Rooms from 200-220 are excellent and very cozy. All in all a wonderful experience.

Huduranfushi Island Used To Be Lohifushi... And I
Huduranfushi island used to be Lohifushi... and im not surprised they changed the name. The island was awful, we were there in a beach bungalow which was shabby to say the least, and we had to get them to re clean the room before we would use it. The island itself looked ok, pretty views, lovely water as does almost every island in the maldives. Its close to the airport to make the transfer bearable but not so close that you can hear or see the planes. Our first meal was dinner served buffet style, which is where it started to go really wrong, at meal times it was a scrum, guests so frightened that they might be left with the dregs that they had to be there first. Children doing unspeakable things to buffet food etc. By the time we arrived it had calmed down but the food that was left was either cold as the lids had been left open, baked to the bottom of serving pans or gone. The flies were litteraly finishing it off, and as all lids were open they made the most of it. I did not eat that night nor breakfast as it was just the same and my two firends ended up with diarrhoea by midday the next day. That was it we demanded that these things be addressed and by dinner time things had changed, there were more staff wearing chefs hats(For some reason!!) standing by the open food at dinner, closing lids after customers and clearing up more to minimize the flies. I ate a little that evening for the first time but thats because we waited for dinner 15 minutes early to beat the scrum. We watched it all happen again but at least we didn't have to eat it. The new problem was the guests and unrully children being alowed to play with the buffet, this was a problem the resort couldn't fix, this is the result of a cheap resort, i was basically butlins but in 90 degree heat with shed loads of flies, awful food and no way to get off or leave. The following day and despite the staffs best efforts (Maybe!!) we still felt this was not going to be a good holiday (Another way of saying suicidally gutted that we had booked into a hovel in paradise) and demanded to be released from the island. We were transfered to another island, Meedhapparu, the following afternoon. The wait for the transfer seemed like a week, we ate toasted cheese sandwiches from the snack bar as it looked safer and cleaner. While waiting for the transfer they were unloading supplies at the peir and we joccked about the boxes being full of flies for the next guests. In my expeience this was not a nice place and both i and my friends were fully intending on losing all my money to return home. In my opinion its unlikely they have changed their habits, just their name...go elsewhere.
