Good Points
The box selection purchased in December 2007. The chocolates, 10 different varieties in total, have a very nice and very intricate overall appearance with a carefully crafted mix of white and milk chocolate surrounds.
Bad Points
A very bland and uninteresting overall similar taste of pralines and truffles, appearing to come from the same pot of base ingredients. Gone is the dreamy fudge (one of the best of the previous issue) also gone is the orange sensation and raspberry parfait - there are no fondants in the new selection. Also gone is the caramel caress and the Turkish sensation (not one of my favourites). Instead replaced with a single layer of chocolates , two of each type with the exception of the almond crunch which, for some reason, there are four in the box.
General Comments
The new (purchased December 2007) issue of these chocolates removes all individuality from the box pack and replaces it with a bland mix of chocolates which all taste the same beneath their interesting exterior. Daily Box was the favourite selection of both myself and my wife before now. As the current issue stands, the box is a great disappointment and is very definitely suited to those who like nutty chocolates and pralines (see Ferrero Rocher). There is essentially no variety in the selection beneath the interesting exterior.
