I'm Insured With Metlife For Homeowner's Insurance
I'm insured with Metlife for homeowner's insurance. They've got great rates, compared to the competition. I've never had to put in a claim, so I can't tell you how they are with claims. But I can tell you, that their agent Ron Metoyer, is friendly, easy to get a hold of, and returns calls promptly whenever I need to ask him a question.
For me, their rates make it worthwhile to insure with this company.

I Am Not On A Crusade, I Just Found That The Servi
I am not on a crusade, I just found that the service from Metlife Auto & Home insurance got worse over the years. I went with them when I still had kids to insure. We have in the last eight years had two (2) claims. My daughter had one several years ago, and I had one for about $300 when I brushed a guys fender. The premiums are still high. I got several quotes, all at about half what I was paying.
I had been with them for years and kept putting off changing companies. Even after talking to them I came away with the feeling that they felt I just wasn't that important. My son and daughter (both grown) and I have all now changed. I have home contents insurance and auto insurance for less than they want for auto alone.
I am going to Liberty Mutual.
Just a suggestion...compare them with with any other 2 or 3 companies. I am happy where I am now though I pay a littel more than I would in a place or two. I have local coverage on home and auto at a FAR better price than Met gave me. The person I talked to when I canceled Met even agreed they were too high. If you're happy, great, just not my experince.
I have not had this experience with MetLife Auto&Home. I have been insured with them for the last 10 years with no claims, although I did have a windshield replaced for free... I guess that would be a claim... My rates have stayed pretty darn even over the last 6 years. In fact they gave me some discount this year for being a good driver for 10 years. I think you are probably paying to much because you have had claims that were your fault... Maybe your credit effected it too. I know that my agent told me that credit is important regarding the rate you recieve... Somthing along the lines of those that have better credit, are more responsible, and deserve to get better rates. I love my agent, and never want to leave MetLife. Once about 3 years ago, I checked around on the internet for rates to see if I was still getting a good deal. Most of the other companies could not even compare with the rate I have been paying with Metlife.
I give these guys a A+.
On another note, my cousin that also is insured with these guys had a fire and his garage burned down. They actually replaced his garage with a nicer one than he had! His rates did not go up either..... and that is good stuff.
