If I could give a lower rating I would. STAY AWAY! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. My shipment has been rescheduled 4 times and I've rented a truck twice only to find out when I arrive that my items are not there. They didn't notify me or provide any reasonable excuse. They wouldn't take accountability or even offer a partial refund. They do not care about their customers and believe they have no responsibility for the service. WARNING! Do NOT use this company. We moved from Toronto to Barcelona and have had nothing but issues with them since the beginning. I have NEVER experienced such abysmal service in all of my life. I would have never chosen this company had I known what I know now and after reading the new reviews that have surfaced over the last couple of months. “Worst mover ever, in 21 years never seen anything this bad”

We spent almost 2000 pounds on sending some personal effects, photos, videos of our children, mementoes and toys, from London to Uganda. On arrival, 6 out of 8 of our boxes were completely damaged, ripped open and water-logged. Items of much sentimental value were lost and many other items were broken. “Horrble experience”

Boxes delivery: The driver was 3.5 hours late for the estimated window delivery, never bothered to communicate with me and left the boxes unattended on a street outside of the building. When I asked for £50 reimbursement, I was told that it's non-findable, which was never disclosed before. “Bad customer service”

Pathetic service and no proper communication. I would not recommend using these guys at all. My interaction has been highly disappointing and frustrating. I shared all documents on time, I made all Payment on time and cartons booked to be delivered via Courier Direct Service. “Shocking!”

We still have an issue going back to the beginning of the year with EIM when our container arrived in NZ. The EIM staff back in the UK taped up a hole in roof of the container with their own packing tape. No prizes for guessing what happened next. Have all the photographs to prove it. We lost quite a lot of furniture and personal effects through water damage and still suffering. They are denying any sort of responsibility and we have still not had a penny from them. “Still Waiting”

Today we have been waiting 53 days for our goods to be delivered to Turkey from the UK and Excess International. It's nearing Christmas,very wet a lot of the time and cold. Our home is only half furnished and we have few winter clothes as all of these things are being held for ransom at the port of Ismir. The sales guy was very good and helpful. The packers friendly and careful. Everything went smoothly until the day they were supposed to upload our things having already packed them up. 5pm the day before upload, having already paid in full I might add, we received a call from the contact person to say " we have some bad news, we are unable to locate you a container!'. Hi,

So sorry to hear about your situation. I know exactly how you feel as I am going through the exact same situation. I am also a customer of Global Moving Systems (GMS) and my container is also stuck in Oakland and is being held hostage with the dispute between GMS and EIM. It is horrible that they are both willing to allow customers personal property to be held as ransom while they sort out their issue between the two of them. I would caution further prospective customers from doing business with either of these companies until after they settle their disputes.

EIM would like to clarify the situation regarding the alleged dispute with Global Moving Services and the unfortunate consequences for the Hamza-Goodacre family, and other clients of GMS.

EIM regret the impact this has had on them, and would never entertain such action unless the circumstances were, totally necessary. It is the conduct of GMS that has precipitated this situation, by failing to meet the standard terms and conditions agreed with EIM. EIM have not acted illegally. The actions taken have been entirely in accordance with the lien in our terms and conditions. As a consequence we have not breached any BAR conditions. Contrary to the assertions of GMS, there is no dispute, and never has been.

The large debt that GMS have accumulated has placed their own customers at unnecessary risk. All efforts to resolve this within the usual commercial boundaries and practices have failed. The risks associated have all been borne by EIM who have paid all their suppliers (including shipping lines) to ensure all GMS customers received the usual high levels of service provided, as evidenced by the numerous recommendations and favourable reviews we receive. EIM has striven to keep the situation between two companies strictly confidential and resolve the problem privately. Now, the record needs to be "set straight" as GMS have delivered a complete misrepresentation of the true facts, and the reputation of EIM is being damaged by events which have been unwillingly thrust upon us. Although GMS have not fully met the agreed conditions for the release of the on hold status of GMS shipments, we have decided to release certain goods in order to spare the clients of GMS any further distress. Additionally, we would not want the regard that the public has for International Moving Companies, and in particular, our own integrity and service delivery standards, to be damaged as a consequence of the actions of companies such as GMS.

I recently moved from the UK to South Africa and Excess International Movers packed and moved all my belongings. The packing crew on both sides were very friendly, professional and efficient at their jobs. With any move as big as a full relocation to another country I would expect some mishaps.
