Afternoons are just dire now Steve and the gang have gone. His show was fast and furious compared to the replacement show. 

The Birthday slot is like something from the old light programme back in the fifties and the music is so far removed from what we had with Steve. On long journeys alone working Steve made the journey so much easier and entertaining. 

I only listen to Tony Blackburn and Sounds of the Sixties now on Radio 2. The presenters otherwise leave a lot to be desired. I hope Steve returns on a Station somewhere soon. A commercial Station would be the answer.

Agree with your comments but would add that Ken Bruce in the mornings is also still well worth listening to.
