I had to update my pressure cooker to a stainless steel when I changed to an induction hob. Having used aluminium prestige pressure cookers for over 40 years the Prestige Smartplus pressure cooker was my obvious choice. I use the cooker quite rarely maybe once/twice a month. After about 10 uses part of the valve broke and I had to wait months as it was a design fault and I had to wait for a complete new handle (which I had to pay for). Now the pressure cooker indicator valve (the little red plastic bit) has broken and yet again not in stock and no idea when it will be. I will have to buy another more reliable make if the part takes weeks to be back in stock. Obviously there are serious faults with the pressure cooker, as bits keep breaking. I’m not convinced on its safety anymore.
