Hermes “lost” my item. To begin with there was no way to contact them, every avenue to contact them was countered with an automated response that lead absolutely nowhere. It was simply impossible to speak to a human. This was an eBay sale and I had no option but to wait until a time when the item could be reported as overdue. “Ive been using them for a while sending various items...”

Ive been using them for a while sending various items and have had no problem, untill I decided to send a rather more expensive item (camera lens) The item gets "damaged" in transit without any explanation. 5 weeks later they refund me 5% of the value of the item and they refuse to send me back the "damaged" item. I highly recommend people NOT to send anything of high value with myhermes. And fyi...communication with them is a LOT of headache....never again… Read Full Review

“Impossibe to communicate with via telephone or email”

I have had two parcels delivered by Hermes, both of which have been damaged in transit. Can I communicate with any human being? Can I claim against the insurance cover taken out. No. Their phone number states that their phone lines are down for maintenance (!) and that we should use something, which does not work either. Left a card saying the missed me and despite not authorising to be left with a neighbour or a safe place the card said they had left it with a neighbour. When I went to the neighbour they did not leave it with him. Ordered a return label online. Charged twice and no return label received. Phoned to resolve the issue but you cannot speak to anyone - the only way you can communicate with them is via web chat. “worst courier in the world”

Deliveries "lost", very difficult to contact, very awkward and long drawn out efforts to gain refund after 1 month and submitting all the info they required several times they still are asking for more and still no refund. My emails now get rejected by their system stating not recognised despite them using very same email address to contact me. They procrastinate and delay. “ Failed to deliver Christmas gifts”

ASOS order placed well before Christmas, using Premier Delivery service (ironically!) Hermes failed to deliver on time and their tracking status remained unchanged from 22/12/19 to 30/12/19. Marked my parcel as delivered, not to me at my clearly marked address though! Nightmare trying to get a straight answer and rude unhelpful customer service. Broke my letterbox which they never paid for last year. Delivered my parcel somewhere near a road near our village to a business,perfect!! If you're just trying to lose stuff and it's not worth hiring a skip, then MyHermes offers a cheap alternative. Otherwise, steer clear. I bought a present for my grandson on eBay which failed to arrive and promptly entered a Kafka-esque labyrinth in which a slew of automated replies and unctuous emails gave contradictory advice and information. Unfortunately Amazon use Hermes a lot so I have no option but to tolerate them. Never in all the time I've used them have I received an estimated time for delivery, unlike DPD which always give an hour slot and only twice in thousands of deliveries have missed it. I had an account with them when they first started stopped using them for my deliveries too many complaints from customers. For the record I worked on them on a self-employed basis as a drop courier for December to late January when I resigned. Although on weekly payment terms they defaulted after week two and the placed me on monthly terms, without a deed of variation of the contract.

The Couriers work self employed and the company does neither Natioanal Insurance nor the taxation element, there are no remittance slips although the payment made by BACS . none of my January invoices have been honoured. I phone again this morning (150219 ) to be told that the funds would be at my back by 15:00 : they have defaulted.

I have had to place them on legal notice, which once expired will result in legal action.

So both as employee and would be user of this company's services I would approach with care as employee (actually self employed convtacorI0 nor as Agent and end-user Customer

Awful! I've been receiving 3 parcels a week on average for the last five years. Only twice in that time have I not received the parcel. Both times the parcel was being delivered by myHermes. I avoided them after the first time, but unfortunately, Amazon used them for something I ordered on Black Friday. I've waited in all day for the last 8 days with the phone on and they have used up all their delivery attempts. Now it's going back to Amazon. Not once have they come to my flat. Looks like Hermes is on the way out. I requested a pick up on Monday and as of Thursday at 7.30pm they still have not picked up. This is despite me using their chat service every day and them re-assuring me it would be picked up and finally calling them today.
