Yet another fail making it 8+ in 4 weeks! Parcels posted by shop for guaranteed next day delivery so should have been yesterday (last minute gifts) unfortunately, had I realised the shop was using Hermes I wouldn't have bothered! Here we are, Christmas eve and my order isn't even out for delivery, utterly useless, no other courier has let me down even once! ordered some other bits yesterday and they arrived this morning at 7:30am from over 450 miles away! Hermes, voted worst courier in the UK and I can see why!.

Always always always have problems when any company I order from uses Hermes as the courier. They never tell you till the last minute either - maybe they know that their cutting costs is gonna put people off buying their products. Get an email - oh, btw your valuable items are gonna be dispatched with Hermes.. who are gonna lose them in their own depot, leave your items in a public place where they'll be stolen or just generally damage them with bad handling.. Whyyyyyy?? They must cost companies more money in bad service, losses and damages than they save. Royal Mail, DPD etc are solid, why can't they just go with one of them instead? So frustrating.. I can literally wait for over a month to receive something I ordered (or get the eventual, disappointing refund) when I could have actually walked to the shop within a week. Drives me mad - really don't know how their business is still running.

Would I recommend to a friend? I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy! From what I've seen of the operation, I shouldn't be surprised to see someone deliver a Hermes parcel in a wheelbarrow, with a flat tyre. Perhaps that wouldn't be so bad if they were on time. They seem to put obstacles in the way of those who don't want to know the answers to "FAQs" and their automated phone system seem to employ a robot, who is deaf. I never got far enough to get to speak to anyone and if I had, would it have been Del Trotter? Some may say that in giving them 1 star, for value for money, I am being unfair, as they are cheap. However cheap doesn't imply value for money and in this case, I don't think the service is good enough to justify even the low price. In short, I would NEVER use them to send a parcel and in future, I won't deal with anyone who uses them to send parcels.

Second time this has happened. Been in all day then get a text message ( attempted delivery made) BS. They have done this twice, why not leave a card, or second leave with neighbour. The reason is because they have not been near the house. The order never turned up. This has only ever happened with hermes. Next time I order anything on amazon I will ask what courier service they use, herpes is useless

Several times I have bought items on eBay. When a package goes missing in transit there is no way to trace it and Hermes do not care. eBay gives them a sliver of respectability until they lose your package. I hope a disappointed customer finds the CEO and explains it to him hard.

So this is the second time I have received a parcel from hermes and not only did I never receive an email to say it was arriving on a certain day but I was at work on the day it arrived and there was no note to say it had been left, it had been stuffed next to my bin and got soaking wet in the rain all day, this is the second time it has happened and there is no way to even speak to anybody about it! I spend almost £60 for my parcel to be dumped in the rain I don't think so! If the lazy person delivering would have walked round the other side of my small bungalow they would have seen a covered porch that would have protected my parcel but they don't even care enough to take an extra couple steps! DISGUSTING!

Hermes “lost” my item. To begin with there was no way to contact them, every avenue to contact them was countered with an automated response that lead absolutely nowhere. It was simply impossible to speak to a human. This was an eBay sale and I had no option but to wait until a time when the item could be reported as overdue. By that point I had no option but to refund the buyer for the missing item. Eventually I made a claim and a month or so later was refunded less than a third of its actual value. I would have much preferred to have been reunited with the item but apparently it has vanished out of all existence. No doubt it is somewhere, most likely at auction and making a tidy profit for this firm. They must be the shadiest delivery agent in the UK. They never even apologised once in their emails for the loss of the item. It’s shocking that they are still in business, and my biggest regret other than using them in the first place is that I didn’t report the it to the police.

Hi, I start my business 5 months ago, and sending more than 200 parcels every month. Every week I have problems with costumers because parcels damadged, lost, or delayed. I loosing money everyday sending by hermes.

Ive been using them for a while sending various items and have had no problem, untill I decided to send a rather more expensive item (camera lens) The item gets "damaged" in transit without any explanation. 5 weeks later they refund me 5% of the value of the item and they refuse to send me back the "damaged" item. I highly recommend people NOT to send anything of high value with myhermes. And fyi...communication with them is a LOT of headache....never again

WATCH JOE LYCETTS GOT YOUR BACK HERMES EPISODE leave a review at hermesparcels too!! by far the worst parcel company in the uk! dont belive me? then watch joe lycetts got your back myhermes episode!! hermes has always been a no go for me after ive lost so many items ranging from clothing, trainers and toys once an items tracking is at standstill its as good as gone but hermes wont help for 10-12 days theyll just tell you its on the way! but that was the good old says when you could speak to someone. the new system is if an item is missing you tell the retailer and they refund you and claim it back in insurance from hermes. this proess takes weeks. ive had packages left securely in my porch which is funny as i dont have a porch and they were actually in my wheelie bin needing a signiture. ive had items marked as delivered when my cctv shows noone has been near my property and they take weeks to respond to a case of a missing item giving you little to no chance of recovering it. oh and did i mention when i ordered a brand new pc monitor from amazon and hermes messaged me to say i couldnt have it because it was broken then a few hours later it arrives and im told by hermes to decline it but its in perfect condition? This time its gone too far! ive always checked with online retailers if they use hemes to dispatch after my endless problems and if so I wont purchase the item. On this occasion i asked the person sending my item not to use them but they have and had it signed for. problem is my parcel hasnt moved since it was collected from them last week. the contents... property belonging to my 4 yr old thepary dog who died very suddenly 3 weeks ago. so i contact hermes chat.. its a robot with no option to speak to a human, i ring hermes and again its a robot with no option to speak to a human ( yes ive rang back 11 times and exhausted every option on the click button) ive emailed hermessupport only for it to bounce back and say theyve shut the email down. i try social media and they block you from posting only commenting on their posts which they ignore. ive read every page of thier "new and improved" site to help customers get in touch and i must say im not sure which part i like best out of the 7 pages of how to get in touch. maybe the last page that says so heres how to get in touch... speak to an advisor between 8am-6pm. doesnt tell you how just to do it! hermes whether you like it or not your going to be exposed for what you are! no compensation can cover the costs of my deceased dogs personal items and i dont want the money i want the items. hes my pet not yours or your drivers! oh and if you want to blame the retailer, your site states that if a signiture is required you will ensure that a member of the household or neighbour signs for the parcel so im holding you accountable based on your info available on your site. my advice toi you all is to complain about hermes until something is done citizens advice have a great website rergarding your rights when it comes to deliveries or check out which website under consumer rights and deliveries and log complaints.

I have had two parcels delivered by Hermes, both of which have been damaged in transit. Can I communicate with any human being? Can I claim against the insurance cover taken out. No. Their phone number states that their phone lines are down for maintenance (!) and that we should use something, which does not work either. I suggest you try another parcel company, but certainly not Hermes. He was the Messenger God and was pretty efficient.

Left a card saying the missed me and despite not authorising to be left with a neighbour or a safe place the card said they had left it with a neighbour. When I went to the neighbour they did not leave it with him. I tried to contact them however only robots on the phone and online chat I requested a CALL BACK through the website said be within in 48 hours. 5 days later I got an email saying my issue was resolved as the driver said it was delivered to the correct address .... how can this be possible when I have no parcel and a missed you card Clearly the driver stole the parcel or gave it to some one who did as it was am expensive pair of trainers sold out and the drivers can see where the parcel is from This company is digusting do not want to deal with complaints and do not help hopefully sellers and retailers will get sick of refunding all missing parcels and use a company not filled with cow boys.

I sent a £1500 laptop which was underpriced in weight After sending me a text to confirm how to pay , it was then cancelled And then the parcel disappears into thin air Apparently they can’t check its location Here’s what they sent in the final response Response By E-mail (Xxxxxxxx Dear Xxxxx Regarding parcel number: xxxxxxxxxxxx Thank you for contacting Hermes. Firstly, may I take this opportunity to sincerely apologise for the frustration and inconvenience you have been caused due to your parcel not being received. I am really sorry this parcel hasn't been delivered. Unfortunately due to the time frame since the last scan we would issue this as lost in the Hermes network. Once again do please accept my sincere apologies caused throughout your delivery experience and should you require further assistance please feel free to reply Kind regards, Hermes Customer Service Advisor

Ordered a return label online. Charged twice and no return label received. Phoned to resolve the issue but you cannot speak to anyone - the only way you can communicate with them is via web chat. I therefore started a web chat & explained the issue. Whilst they were sympathetic I was in as many words told that it was my problem. So no return label & two charges!!

Deliveries "lost", very difficult to contact, very awkward and long drawn out efforts to gain refund after 1 month and submitting all the info they required several times they still are asking for more and still no refund. My emails now get rejected by their system stating not recognised despite them using very same email address to contact me. They procrastinate and delay. I have evidence that drivers sign on behalf of customers without customers permission. Pay a few bob more and get less hassle and peace of mind.

If I could give a negative star rating, I would. I ordered from Sports Direct a pair of trainers as a Christmas present for my son on the 18th of December - delivery is through Hermes. On the 23rd Dec, I received a confirmation email from Hermes saying it had been delivered to the Hermes drop off location (shop). I went in and nothing there. I went in the next day and nothing. At 5pm, I had no choice on 24th Dec to go into a local Sports Direct and buy a pair of trainers. I emailed Hermes CEO on 26th Dec regarding the disastrous lack of delivery. I got passed onto 7 different CEO team members and no resolution other than yes they admit that the delivery was late (eventually delivered on 27th Dec) but that they don't hold themselves responsible and won't give me a refund of the delivery charges. Can't believe in the 21st century, they can't be bothered to resolve the issue. They are the only company I know who gives you a different advisor (so you end up having to explain the situation all over again) every time and conflicting responses and still no resolution. For a delivery charge of £5.99 - I can't believe the wasted time they have spent on this rather than just arranging a refund straight away. Don't bother using Hermes - they provide a 3rd world delivery service - avoid, avoid!!!

ASOS order placed well before Christmas, using Premier Delivery service (ironically!) Hermes failed to deliver on time and their tracking status remained unchanged from 22/12/19 to 30/12/19. Yesterday, after I complained to ASOS, Hermes miraculously updated tracking to: ‘delivered to secure location’. Family at home ALL DAY, sat in room with clear view of front garden. Hermes sent email saying package delivered, so we searched property, bins, under car etc; nothing! Not left with neighbour, (neighbour was in my house). No knock at door, no photo evidence of delivery, no calling card. Absolutely atrocious service. Wish I could remove the meagre 1 star, as it feels too generous! MESSAGE TO HERMES: YOU REALLY OUGHT TO VET YOUR COURIERS AND GIVE TRUTHFUL TRACKING UPDATES. CUSTOMER SERVICE: NON EXISTENT!

Marked my parcel as delivered, not to me at my clearly marked address though! Nightmare trying to get a straight answer and rude unhelpful customer service. Broke my letterbox which they never paid for last year. Delivered my parcel somewhere near a road near our village to a business, perfect!! If that isn't bad enough the condescending attitude will certainly knock that final nail in. All in all couldn't organise a knees up in a brewery. Have they been featured on Watchdog and I missed it?

If you're just trying to lose stuff and it's not worth hiring a skip, then MyHermes offers a cheap alternative. Otherwise, steer clear. I bought a present for my grandson on eBay which failed to arrive and promptly entered a Kafka-esque labyrinth in which a slew of automated replies and unctuous emails gave contradictory advice and information. They variously claimed that it was out for delivery or that they had been unable to leave it in my porch. Then they told me that it was with my "local retailer". I ended up trawling round local shops in search of my parcel but without success. Eventually a recorded voice on the phone told me to contact the eBay seller, thus taking me back to square one. Cynical, lazy and heartless.
