Con 3D Glasses flicker with any outside light. Sound is really bad sounds like a tin can. Not full HD. Very dark. No wireless although the in store ad make you believe it does have, you need to buy a wireless usb dongle to get that to work. TV buzzes which is fine a high volume but drives you mad at low volume. Pro Quality in the dark was good. I liked the glass stand thing. 3D in the dark was good.

This tv is very good looking tv with lots of picture tweeks, very few sound tweeks tho. the sound quality from the tv speakers were supurb, however 2 hours in, the sound failed, giving a bassless muffled effect. The picture quality is good, shame its max HD is 720p and a little grainy. But it has plenty of settings to play with Pros Nice to look at Good amount of settings for picture Cons Sound issue
The Samsung Series 4 PS43E490 HD Ready 43" Plasma 3D TV is a TV that users were generally more than happy with. They found the design very impressive. They really liked the fact that they got an amazing 3D experience in their living room. They found the clear image panel structure eliminated a lot of the image layering and blurring and thus gave them a clear picture from almost every angle. They also liked the fact that the fast moving images were smooth, and that it gave a realistic 3D viewing. Other features were the fact that the TV came with 3D active shutter glasses. It helped to provide contrast and it bought them deeper and clearer images. They were even able to see 2D content using a 3D convertor. This again helped to give them a cinematic experience. In general users liked the fact that the blacks and shadow details were crisp and defined. They liked the clear image panel, and found it to be distraction free. They were happy with the fact they were able to watch movies from their USB external device and the quality was just as good as watching TV in general. The bad points users found in using this TV was the fact it didn’t come with free glasses. They had to pay extra for 3D active shutter glasses. Other users found using the 3D mode difficult to learn. They also found the fresh time to be slightly slow. The good points users liked was the picture quality. They liked the sound. They found the general design very stylish. Other users liked the fact it was easy to set up. They could easily navigate around the screen. Overall they found the TV very good value for money. They liked the cinema experience, and the 3D features. Some users found it easy to lift and move around the house. Others would certainly recommend it.

I found the sound muffled and echoy out of the box and was unable to improve the sound to any degree fiddling with the settings. I asked retailer to have a look and they said the would just replace, replacement is exactly the same. Sound on this set can only be described as awful. I now have plugged some cheap logitec computer speakers into it and it sounds a thousand times better. If you are looking to by this tv factor in a sound bar or external speakers to the price.
