My unlocked sprint iPhone 4s worked without any issues for outgoing calls. I didn't get to test incoming calls but I kept receiving incoming calls from two numbers. From one number my phone rang but there was never any coonection, just equipment busy tone. The other number hat kept calling was a long non-English recording. I blocked both numbers

Finally I have found an alternative to outrageous roaming cell charges by purchasing a One Sim Card. I have tried several alternatives and have so far One Sim to be the Easiest, Cheapest and most reliable cell service while travelling. I travel approximatly 3 months a year, including Mexico, Asia , Thailand, Italy , Portugal etc. . What I like the most about using OneSimCard, you can reload online, avoiding phone charges as with other LD Sims, also beoiing able to log into your account and check and playback phone messages is the most convenient way to retrieve your messages. If you atre looking to be able to call forward your personal cell or house phone while travelling this works perfectly.( Just make sure when call forwarding your cell phone you do it from home, as forwarding while you are away will cause the all calls will be forwarded at roaming rates. PEN ( personal extra numbers) are great as well, and at a very affordable price. I finally was able to obtain my local area code in a PEN. By getting a PEN in my home area code, rather than paying 5 cents a minute to call forward to an area code within my province , i will now be able to call forward my home and cell cheaper yet, and have friends and family reach me just by dialling the PEN I obtained with same area code as home phone. I am very pleased with ONESIMCARD, and have recommended to fellow travellers I have net, who ask who is my cell carrier and how much do they charge. Currently in Mexico and saving a bundle on long distance rates.

I was unable to get the DATA portion to work correctly and unable to get a timely answer from onesim card support while traveling for three weeks. Naturally they are refusing my refund request. The phone call portion of the service worked as advertised. Be very careful signing up for the data service. A wasted $50

VOIP options 5. iPhone and Android app helping to make easy calls 6. Great Customer Support The service requires you to sit down for 30 minutes and learn how to use it. If you are not ready to spend 30 minutes, then this service is not for you. OneSimCard offers bunch of simple short videos that help a lot to figure out how to call, send SMS and how to configure internet data on your phone. It is a callback service. This means that you dial the number and then in few seconds your phone rings and once you answer the ring, you will get connected. This is hardly an inconvenience. There are iPhone and Android phone free apps from OneSimCard that remove the callback effect. Overall - this is the best roaming SIM I tried.

We ordered a OneSimCard and phone package in preparation for our trip to China. The SIM card and the phone were delivered promptly to our mid-west US home. There were some initial challenges setting up the phone, the printed instructions were very limited and confusing. However, the customer service department was very helpful and walked us through the set up procedure, even calling us back at home to insure that the set-up was successful. The phone and the SIM card worked as they were supposed to on the trip, the only challenge was getting used to the time delays for connection and time lags during conversations. The reload process was invisible to us, but we received prompt notification of the reload actions. We do recommend the OneSimCard product for people traveling who need or want a low cost reliable communication device. The only challenge while on the trip was the limited written instructions; the web site for OneSimCard was not available in China due to government policies.

I have used this service for the first time this year after reading an article in an airline magazine. It appeared to me because I travel a few times a year but always to different countries and I was sick of having to buy new SIM cards for each country. The service has been really good once you get used to it! Tha website is very helpful and easy to use. Recharging is traight forward and the VoIP app is also a useful addition. The ability to buy additional numbers has helped keep the cost down for friends and family but does make it a little awkward when you have to tell people to text to one number but call another - unless I'm doing something wrong! I haven't used all the features yet so I cannot comment on the Internet options.

Great phone to carry around because you can get a 1-866 number to receive calls free of charge to your friends. Special codes allow you to text only for 0.15 cents per text from foreign countries. You don't have to call your calling plan and guess how much they would be charging for international calls and texting!!!!

Easy to enroll and the prices seem good. I haven't used it overseas yet, but the test here went smoothly.
