“Fabulous car, and an event to own.”

written by lightning on 27/08/2011

I owned my Mondial t Coupe for 12 months. What can I say? Everything that you read about Ferrari is true. The car was an event to sit in, let alone drive. Every journey was an experience. The 3.4 litre V8 was marvellous, and sounded intoxicating at higher RPM. The Mondial t is no bridesmaid, it's a fully fledged Ferrari. The Mondial t has PAS and ABS so it's a bit easier to drive in town, and the engine is well behaved when in traffic. The clutch is fairly light and it has that lovely Ferrari open gear shift gate. It did cost a fair bit to run, but what do you expect? you cannot buy a Ferrari and then whinge about maintenance costs. Fuel was consumed at the rate of 15 miles per UK gallon, but again, it's not a car for going to the shops in. Reliability was good, considering that it was twenty years old. Sadly I had to sell it as I ran out of money, but I'd buy another tomorrow if I could. It was an absolute honey.
