I had 10 loans with Sunny over a period 8 month period in 2016/17. Got myself into a total mess with Sunny and several other PDL companies. Myself to blame of course.

When I contacted Sunny to explain the situation to them and make an arrangement they were - initially - understanding and quite helpful. That all changed when, on the advice of the CAB, I made a complaint to them about irresponsible lending (even a cursory glance at my credit file would have shown my borrowing was escalating and unsustainable).

Sunny immediately issued me with default notices, ignored my request for my loan information (making the complaint significantly more difficult to make), refused to reply to emails & put the phone down on me -;despite them bombarding me with up to 6 calls a day (they ignored my request to put the accounts on hold until the complaint was settled, a request I had to make 5 times before it was even acknowledged).

When they did finally respond to my complaint they didn't even address the points I had raised - just a 'we don't agree - go to the ombudsman'

Well here's the thing. I did go to the ombudsman and guess what? They upheld my complaint and Sunny now have to refund me all interest on the loans + 8% and remove themselves from my Credit File.

They might have a nice and shiny website and are nice as pie while lending you money at an exorbitant interest rate but god forbid if you run into difficulties - they are just a bunch preying on the needy and desperate. Avoid them at all costs!

In the interest of fairness I should point out that I made similar complaints to WDA & Wonga....they were both helpful, polite & courteous. The total opposite of Sunny.
