Georgetown's review of Parentpay

“Incompetent, hopeless and frustrating - how not to do it”

This shower has contracts with local government all over the UK. It's a payments website to accept money for things like school meals and so avoids kids needing to take in cash. In theory this is a good idea but in practice they are incompetent.

On about half a dozen ocassions I've had problems making payments because their website has declined, despite there being money in my account. The latest instance is today, meaning my kids won't be able to buy any lunch.

They 'upgraded' their website earlier this year, making a crappy service even worse, and their customer service is practically non-existant. You're lucky if you get a response within a week, if at all, and there's no phone number to call, just an online form.

I'm not sure if this company has any competition, but there must be an opportunity in this market because I can't believe anyone could deliver a worse service.
