I ordered some Lego for my son at a decent discount from the usual high-street price and it turned up a few days later and we are all happy. I didn't get to use the customer service, as everything was smooth and easy.

Our son's 3rd birthday was coming up and we attempted to buy through Canfords. Big Mistake. The website is decent enough, with a good selection of toys. It says postage for orders over £30 is usually free. Great. We spent about an hour choosing a range of Chuggington toys and accessories for our son, totalling £63.34. Fine. When we clicked on 'checkout' the website forwarded us to Amazon who they said they'd partnered up with to process payments - a little strange but okay. Then it got stupid. Rather than buying the list of items through Canfords, Amazon told us that we were ordering the 13 items through a total of 9 different suppliers. Then on reaching the payment page Amazon then tried to charge us £45.06 for postage to the UK!!! Needless to say we didn't confirm the order. Canfords may well have been a real toy shop with a real website once, and may have gone bust during the credit crunch - who knows. Now they're just a sham site keyed into Amazon's database, though their site will tell you otherwise. After the aborted order I emailed them to tell them what I thought of them, and got a bounce back. They don't exist. Avoid!!!
