My Partner Sent Glasses For Repair To This Company
My partner sent glasses for repair to this company a month ago. They were sent by 'Signed For' delivery and using Royal Mail's postal tracking, we know that they were received by the proprietor of Spec-Tech on the 11th August.
It is now 6th September; Spec-Tech has not contacted us, nor have we received any response to our email queries. So nearly a month on, and we've not even had a quote for repairs and there seems to be little prospect of getting the glasses back, fixed or not.
If we lived closer to Exeter, we'd call in and seek redress, but it seems that all we can do, is advise others to avoid this company.

Repair took a while, but when I was eventually able to speak to Martin, the owner of Spec-tech he explained there had sadly been a family bereavement.
So delay was completely understandable on this occasion. When the glasses were received they had been well repaired. I would recommend Spec-tech Exeter and use them again.

I sent my glasses for repair 3 months ago. I tried multiple times to speak with someone but did not receive a response. After 10!weeks I finaly spoke with someone who promised to repair and send back my glasses that day. Two weeks later and still waiting. Terrible company. Do not use.

Sent 2 Pairs Of Glasses For Hinge Replacements In
Sent 2 pairs of glasses for hinge replacements in March 2022., After several weeks of silence, owner got in touch with a price. Several weeks of more silence, I called him and he said he was just about to post them. More weeks of silence then he used my card, charging £65. 3 weeks later still no glasses!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I SUSPECT THEY HAVE GONE BUST! USE THE COMPANY IN CLACTON INSTEAD! 24 HOUR TURNAROUND.
Caused me stress.
Would have given 0 stars for everything if possible.

Sent my glasses to have the hinge repaired because I thought this was a good company I had used before. Wrong. So, I sent the glasses last Monday, it's now Thursday of the following week and I have heard nothing. No calls, no emails. No confirmation that they have received my specs. I would have expected them to send an estimate, if nothing else! Of course, they don't answer the phone and their phone message service can't take messages. I am stuck with wearing my old glasses but all is not lost because I have ordered some to my new prescription from a reputable company, and the should be arriving tomorrow. I don't think I will ever see the ones I sent to Spec-Tech again.
My Titianan Glasses
I phoned Spec-Tech and told them that my Titianium flexy glasses had broken in two at the bridge and they told me that they could replace the bridge but they would not be flexible again. I agreed a price and sent them Special Delivery post and I got them back via Special Delivery, which I paid for in the price, 4 working days later.
A fantastic job had been done as it is very inticate work and I blive that they said that the work was gauranteed for one year. I am very please ans will recommend them to all and sundry.

No Communication, No Service
Sent glasses in for repair and there was no communication for months. No response to email, and calls were not answered and answerphone mailbox full.
Avoid at all costs!!! I plan on reporting to ombudsman.

sent my glasses with broken arm .rang and rang nothing .3 weeks later finely got thru ,said he will mend them .charge £40pound gave him my card num .and he returned a week later with a invoice bill for £48 pound .second day wearing them broke again in same place .all he did was supper glue the arm .still trying to contact 3 weeks later man don't do it

Absolutely Shocking Service
Looked for a specialist repair company to repair a pair of Rayban glasses. Talked to them and was advised they could action the repairs. Sent itgem in the post.
They say they will get back quickly with a quote. That was two weeks ago. No contact from them, I have called them and no reply to call which has mostly gone to answerphone. Eventually did get a response last week and the guy said he would call me back with quote. No call and now calls are not able to go to answerphone as it tells you it is full.
No idea what is happening to my glasses and I suggest you avoid this company as it displays all signs of a business not able to deliver its promises!!
