Brought four pieces of jewellery for my birthday November 4th 2022.

Six months later the jewellery started turning. I went to store to get them fixed using the insurance they sold me. They said the couldn’t help me unless I had the written copies. I have called the helpline many times as well as the chat lines. They always say they are going to call or email back and never do.

Fast forward to 2025 . I was told the company that has my polices is domestic and general. They told me my policy is expired but as I’ve been contacting h Samuel prior to the insurance expiring they will try to escalate the matter so I can get the jewellery fixed.

Please be aware when they tell you they will call back or email you proof it’s a lie. Apparently although I have several files and complaints I’m there is no record of me contacting prior to November 4th 2024 which I find hard to believe. I didn’t bombard them with emails and calls in the space of two months I have been doing this for monthssssss.

Update today:

Spoke to head office who told me my mental health medication could be the reason why my jewellery turned and that they couldn’t assist me either getting a refund or the jewellery fixed.

I tried to tel her what meds I was on so she can find out if chemicals in my meds contributed to them turning. She refused. The funny thing is I only started my med in 2024.

Perhaps there should be a disclaimer on H Samir site that states people suffering mental anguish should stay away from our products.

Please note I have tried to get my policy number and they refused me twice in store and many times on the phone. Even when they finally told me who holds the policy they refused to give me Domestic and Generals details and told me to just google it. Which I did and domestic and generals told me the process of how to recover my details…

Domestic and generals were very friendly and empathetic my problem was not with them.

She told me someone would call me back and that they would not be able to get me a solution. Because although there is a several records of me contacting they can’t find me, even with the policy number etc.

Was I tricked out of £400.00 I don’t know you tell me.

I do have a recording of my encounter and I did alert her of me recording the convo as I’ve lost hope in this company keeping their word when they say they are going to call me back or contact me

I purchased a Bulova watch on line for £595 which I presumed would be brand new and eagerly awaiting it's arrival only to open the box to find it's shop soiled where all of the plastic wrapping had been taken off, none of the tags were present and the pin to start the watch removed and time set and covered with finger prints.

If I wanted a second hand watch I would have gone to eBay and got it cheaper but I thought buying from H.Samuel I would have got brand new. I can't express my utter disappointment and the warning to anyone considering to buy from them online if you are going to give a present to a loved one please check it first you don't want to give them a second hand item.

Total disgust and spending £595

Unfortunately I have today 21st September spoke to Rakeeb who has told me the internet orders are set to the nearest shop and are for filled with display second so anyone this Christmas buy from H.Samuel on the internet will like me get shop soiled and not as we should get discount for that but pay full price thank you Rakeeb form customer service for telling me that.

my partner went in to have his watch links took out today brilliant service very quick was done is 5 mins thanks to the advisors who served us at the cambridge grande arcade branch 27th july highly recommend if needed links taken out thankyou again.

My partner & I received excellent service at H Samuel's Manchester branch on Saturday 20th April. We easily found the engagement ring we wanted and received all the help we required.

It is a pity we cannot name the two sales people which is a pity because they should be recognised.

My little girl had her ears pierced today at h.Samuel, she had her first one done and refused to have her second done. The lady who pieced them was absolutely lovely with my little girl so kind and gentle and made my little girl feel at ease she had the second one done some time after. Also the prices was good with good quality studs and made sure everything was sterile for her piercing would definitely recommend. X

I brought in a silver antique bracelet that my Great Grandfather had made for my Great Aunt in World War 1. It was of great value in sentimental value, I had full trust in H Samuals to care for it under their charge.

They had the expertise NOT to polish it up so it could take away the valuable inscriptions the ID had written on it.

A marvellous job was done and a more than happy customer.

Recommended and will use this service again in future.

We went to h m samual at whitney to order wedding rings the lady in there was fantastic whent above all all she was so helpfull and couldn't have done anymore she was amazing and would recommend this jewlers will definitely be going back there to buy again

Awesome service from Lowestoft shop repair centre. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Highly recommended for any repair work.

On 12 Dec., 2023 I visited H. Samuel, Corn Hill, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk to have a watchband transferred from an old to a new watch which I had bought elsewhere. A member of staff, did the work immediately and refused to charge me anything for the service, even through it took her about 5 minutes of skilful work with the right tool! I am therefore moved to record this helpful service and to observe that I shall certainly visit H. Samuel again, presumably next time involving something of profit to the shop.
