“Pricing ”

The amount of times I go to buy something and there is no flippin price on it is ridiculous. Today I went to ipswich branch for some garden shears I found a pair. No price, looked at a different pair..no price, found a 3rd pair.. NO PRICE!!!!! Bone idle laziness. No more visits now I would rather pay more from a better, more professional shop.

The worst customer service I’ve ever seen and dealt with!!!! I have ordered a wardrobe and it came twice damaged!!! I’ve been waiting 4 months and The range did provide a replacement or a refund!! When I call customer service, they listen to what I’m saying then they close the line without even saying something!!! The worst ever!!

“Avoid, especially 'trusted' partners”

Bought a rattan furniture set that is defective in so many ways it cannot be sat on. Screw holes filled with metal and staples, actual rattan peeling away, cushion covers also with threads unravelling. This was from a 'trusted' partner so the range refused to help with return and refund. I was offered a £35 refund on an unusable and defective item that cost £220. I contacted the range in the hope they would help. The response I received was that this was an acceptable resolution from the third party and that they would be closing the ticket. I'll be avoiding both the range and any the trusted partner from now on. Customer service at its worst.

Awful experience for online shopping with the RAnge, never go for it again, cos the CS took you 45mins to get through but then would hung u up rudely by saying sorry , u just sent email for this case, I cannot help Never touch those "Supplier Plus" deal , cos both companies would push to each other and never able to arrange the collection of broken pc, today the CS from the Range even told me that the dont have Vivense's phone number, Vivense wont accept calling, they wont pick up, But I already called Vivense by myself few times in person by their official web shown phone contact. If they never come to pick up, you never able to be refund, I have spent 1 whole week to struggle between The Range, The Vivense and DHL, sine 4th Aug still 0 progress
Also, the Range official web site though have review to be submitted, but it won’t be shown what I have experienced, other customer just taking risk and bet on , like me, first time, then suffered. AVIOD IT, JUST AVOID this company

ordered wallpaper, delivered bit had fault in paper told could not return to store had to call manufacturer, no response from them, back to store, after some discussion was told they will deal with it, the store also could not get through. arranged for credit and re order of wallpaper, 1 week later I chased but order not recognised had to call hq, they found order but said had pay issue, back to store to sort, was told all now in hand. one month on still no wallpaper, dealt with 4 people on customer service and no reply or action from anyone. Buyers beware of broken promises from this supplier.

“Got what I needed but shocked by poor quality ”

Popped into the Croydon store today Looked at Stationary Got what I needed although I couldn’t see the prices of the items However I was shocked to find that the box files were extremely poor quality Scratched, damaged, and even two items stuck together with chewing gum! Staff on till was pleasant In the female toilets- one was out of order and the other was open but had no running water coming out the tap

“NOT dog friendly”

I wanted to pop into my nearest store, but knew I would have my elderly but very well behaved dog with me. I checked on the website, and it appeared I could take him with me. On arrival at the store was told assistance dogs only. Fair enough, but make it CLEAR on your website please!! Situation not helped that the two staff members I spoke to quite frankly couldn’t have cared less. Zero customer service. In addition, few weeks back I visited the store and had my grandson with me. NO child shopping trolleys, not one!! When I asked was told people take them away and they are too expensive to replace. Since it appears children and dogs aren’t welcome in The Range, I won’t bother again.

“Colchester Store Car Park Warning ”

PLEASE BE WARNED. I pulled into the Colchester store car park around 9:30pm Sunday 5th due to my wife dealing with an emergency and I needed a safe place to stop. Was there for 10 minutes and the next week received a £100 parking fine from Parkingeye The pictures they sent of my car showed it still had it’s lights on so obviously not parked. I’ve paid the fine but now embarking on exposing their sharp practices through the press and social media. How they think their behaviour helps when families are facing massive increases in bills I would like them to explain. Neither myself or anyone in my family will be shopping at The Range again! After all it’s not as if there aren’t more considerate alternatives available. The Range did reply to my Trustpilot review only to indicate it was nothing to do with them and passed the buck to Parkingeye. I assume however they employ Parkingeye to monitor their land on the basis they either rent it or own it. Please refer to Parkingeye’s Trustpilot reviews to understand how bad this company seems to be and think carefully before using any car parks where Parkingeye have any degree of influence. Please bear this in mind and share if you are happy to.

I purchased a £400 outdoor corner sofa set. Delivery was prompt I’ll give them that, but I’ve been waiting for weeks to get the missing parts sent out and I still haven’t had a solution fix this for me. It was advertised with seat pads and cushions but sadly there wasn’t any with the set, nor any instructions. After leaving this review on trustpilot I got a response from the range to say they will sort this but that was a week ago with no further contact made to me. I will never spent another penny here, such a let down.

“Shocking way to run a business ”

I ordered a piece of furniture from The Range - twice! In both cases, my order was cancelled without telling me, the second time, it almost a week after receiving the 'success' email. In total, I went nearly a month without a bed because of this. When I went to complain, I was sent to the supplier, who had no idea what I was talking about, since they never received the order. Once I finally got through to The Range, I was told that it's not their policy to inform the customer if the order falls through! They were unable to tell me why their system had blocked my card, one I use successfully and regularly elsewhere. They offered to unblock my card, but I declined, since I won't be using them again. I did ask them to change their policy, so this wouldn't happen to anybody else.

“Shocking management service”

Used to be one of my favourite stores spending thousands of pounds a year for business and personal but shocking customer service from the office (shop floor staff did their best) will now be spent elsewhere. Very short sighted as to correct the error would have cost less than £100 for them. Even an apology for not replying/returning calls was not offered.

I never received my order and this company has kept me dangling on a string for months now, every week I contact them with the same reply, we have opened an investigation, they have opened so many I lost count. In the end it was the tough attitude. Admitted it was left in a area that would be stolen from. And then said “we don’t expect our delivery drivers to bring it to the door” even though I am on first floor with 2 lifts !?!?!? I am still arguing the case with them even after explaining I have severe anxiety which lead to panic attacks, in which they are making me worse. I have also been diagnosed with cancer, which I know has not much to do with this, but I don’t have the energy to keep arguing the same rubbish with them, as they like to grind you down until you give up. It has got to the point where they are bullying me even with what I am going though with the same attitude of a 2 year old throwing a tantrum and won’t give up their toy ! All I can say is stay the hell away from this company. It is not worth it !

“Diabolical customer services ”

Zero stars! Diabolical customer services. I ordered two wing chairs with footstool. I received the wrong items. After 40 minutes on hold I got through to a man who told me I had to email someone else and wait 4 days for a reply. This man told me that there was no complaints email. He was extremely rude and he threatened to put the phone down on me. I’m still waiting to have these items collected and exchanged for the right ones. I’m having to store these two enormous boxes in my living room until they come and collect them. I will never buy anything from the range again. Avoid at all cost. Not worth the stress. Buy from somewhere else.

I've been trying to return an air fryer for over 4 weeks now. I had to send photos of the box and another one of it packed up ready to be shipped

“Extremely poor service - avoid ”

Very poor service and rude staff disconnecting phone lines rather than deal with issues. Ordered two items, both damaged, got another two - one damaged, finally after 6 items I got two that were ok, total hassle and time spent liaising with couriers and the not turning up as per usual. Staff were poor and did not provide any means of compensation. Took about three weeks in total and staff disconnected the call after becoming huffy and irate on the line, couldn’t make it up. Clearly have no training or competence to undertake the job.

“Mismanaged with pure incompetence”

I first ordered garden furniture last year. The delivery date was pushed back at least 4 times and by several months in total. The garden table happened to be delivered one day when I happened to be in. There was no communication of this delivery. I rang to ask about the chairs & was told they’re not even made! I cancelled my order and sent the table back. I had to fight for a full refund. Originally, they only refunded the cost of the table. I made the mistake of ordering garden furniture again this year from the Range as it is nice garden furniture. This time, they actually delivered the furniture when they said they would. I opened the box and most parts of the table were missing including the table legs! I rang up again and have had to spend a total of around 3 hours on the phone to the range! They still managed to book a collection for the only day I cannot be in so I will have to spend more time on the phone to arrange delivery for another day. The staff on the phones are generally ok to deal with. The management systems and processes cause the company to be less competent than if it was run by 2 year olds.

“There is NO customer service”

You're lucky when it's all good in your order and that's when you give a good rating. However, when something is wrong it takes ages to reach a resolution. I received my order but one item, the largest and obviously not fitting in the box delivered , was missing. I called instantly and requested a refund for this item. The response was that they need to go through investigations with the courier first to see where it got lost and then progress with a refund. A week later and I still haven't received my refund !! I am the client of 'The range' and don't care about what happened between them and the courier , why is my refund reliant on this? A responsible company would refund the client and then run their internal procedures. I ordered an item, it never got delivered to be , I just want my refund, it's simple. Customer service is almost non-existent. Half an hour on hold to get connected to an agent that says you are on the wrong department and passes you on to another department with another half an hour wait if anyone ever picks up. Responses on email correspondence come a week later and are not relevant or specific to the issue.

“APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!”

I am absolutely appalled at the customer service received from the Range. I purchased 2 boxes of solar garden lights on 01/04/22 @ £8.99 each. However, one set was faulty, therefore I returned to the Derriford, Plymouth store for an exchange on 08/04/22. After going through the hassle of traffic queues to Derriford, the cost of fuel and time to get there, I was advised when asking for an exchange that the price had increased to £9.99, therefore I would have to pay the difference in order to exchange it! It is not the extra pound that has bothered me, it’s the principle of the matter! The Range sold me the faulty item in the first place, I had the hassle and cost of returning it, and then to be told, I would have to pay the extra for the pleasure of them exchanging a faulty item!!! I am not blaming the member of staff that dealt with the exchange, as she was only following policy but I am very angry with whoever writes the policies, to expect customers to loose out financially if they are sold a faulty product in the first place!!! And they cannot say that it was new stock that caused the price increase, as there were loads on the shelf when I purchased them! Just absolute greed on their part!!! BEWARE: If you want to exchange a 'FAULTY ITEM' you will have to pay the difference if they have increased the price!!

“A worse online shopping experience”

I shopped for the range on numerous occassions online and never had a reason to return an Item until I purchased an Item of Clothing that was too big,I was told I had to pay myself to return the Item and take a photo of what I was returning to make sure they recieved It back.Norton Group Holding who owns the Range should be ashame of this. The Customer Service from the Range was rude and Unhelpful with no customer care focus. I will never shop with them again.

“Monkeys no organ grinders”

I would give zero stars but 1 was the lowest. I bought a micowave the range brand. It cost me £100. After 8 months it stopped working. So I spoke with customer service. They were very unhelpful. They said I would have to pay a 3rd party company to investigate the fault then report back to them. Wasn't willing to replace or partially refund. I emailed the CEO of the range. And he got one of his snotty minions in customer service to reply. They would not even escalate to a manager. So if you want cheaply made expensively priced. And god forbid you have a complaint it you prefer to speak with the monkeys not the organ grinder then shop here. Their slogan "if we don't have it you don't need it" that is false advertising because every customer needs a good customer service.
