LOrdered a garden storage box on line, arrived in July damaged. Contacted customer services immediately, despite several follow ups finally had a response beginning of September, apologising for the delay and asking if I had received my order.. I popped into The Range in Longrock this afternoon. I picked up crochet hooks, several balls of yarn, and from the garden area, 3 Heather's, and 10 Lavenders. I also needed some John Innes potting compost. I went to Customer Service, and requested some help with the compost, as I am disabled, I cannot walk, I use a mobility scooter. I was told I couldn't. WARNING DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING ONLINE OR BIG ITEMS FOR DELIVERY. There is absolutely no way that these 5 star reviews are real! Their customer service at head office is disgusting. I have no problem with the floor staff in the shop, but their head office is something else. To start they did not warn me during delivery of my sofa that it would come in a giant box, which could not go up the stairs of my flats. If i could give this disgraceful store 0 star i would. I ordered a bbq grill. Paid £109 to receive it with no instructions and rust damage. Called customer service to get a arrogant nasty boy thinking he is a big man. I have 30 people coming over for a bbq and they cant do nothing till the 31st. Worse thing i ordered it online. “Two Seater Powered Recliner That Wasn't”

Ordered and paid for a 2 seater powered recliner sofa. It was delivered on the agreed date, however when assembling it discovered that there were no electrics for the "Powered Recliner". Reported the issue on the same day and got all the usual call centre BS, that it would take several days to do this that and the other. Do not buy anything online from The Range that you may need to return unless you wish to wait over 2 months for them to collect it, after hours (& I mean hours!) on the phone to customer service (if you can call it that) to arrange, dozens of emails and contact forms, three failed collection dates and they still have my funds and the items are still in my hallway! I have to thank the staff at The Range in Hilsea for their help in finding an old bracelet I lost the other week when I was going down the escalator. It is a Victorian silver and marble acorn bracelet I inherited from my grandmother. Not much monetary value but huge sentimental value. Staff moved fixtures and retrieved the bracelet. I should have realised low cost means low quality. Purchased a set of blinds before Christmas and was very happy to start with. However now summer is here they have melted and sag in the middle. Because it's just over 6 months since purchase, the range want me to "hire an independent tradesmen to write them a report on why the blinds are defective"...
