I've had a horrible experience purchasing at claessen orchids. I ordered 20 small plants amongst which 3 arrived in horrible conditions (a mix of wet, rotten, with leaf damage or flower damage), the orchids arrived diseased, and the rest of the plants had some minor damage (leaf damage or flower damage but probably able to survive).
They offered no refund, only the replacement of the three plants that arrived in very obvious poor condition, at the condition that i paid (again) the shipping costs. they refused to accept that the orchids were diseased and they tried to convince me that it was a birthmark, which through other customers reviews I've seen that this is a technique that they often use. They offered nothing but a 20% discount on my next order to make up for 4 diseased orchids that they sent, which i paid more than 65 euros in total!

overall the plant quality is very poor, and even though it might seem that you save money because of the cheap base prices, on average you end up paying a lot for a few almost-acceptable plants, because of the amount of plants that arrive dead or diseased, which you pay for and are never refunded or replaced.
The customer service try to convince you that they're giving you free plants if you only pay for shipping, while they're only offering to replace the ones you bought and arrived dead, and really they're having you pay for shipping twice.
