I'm delighted with my new compact from The Compact Shop, I've bought from them before - I just can't keep away! The choice is excellent and they are always there to help if you need them! It's so great to be able to view lots of wonderful pieces all in one place. This time I chose a gorgeous Charles Mallory compact. I bought this compact for my daughter in law so she can put her lippy on with style! I loved the website and the choice of vintage and new compacts, and the range of face powders that fit them. The compact has a modern lipstick kisses design and is really pretty, feels robust enough to live in a handbag - especially with the soft drawstring pouch that came with it. “Stratton quality debatable”

The compact I ordered was one of Stratton's least expensive loose powder compacts, but I feel that for nearly $80 US it is of remarkably poor quality. While it looks decent at a distance, it feels like it is made of cheap plastic. The mesh sifter does not stay in place, so the powder spills whenever it is opened. Two stars because maybe it would at least function with pressed powder and it arrived quicker than estimated… Read Full Review

hen my very old powder compact gave up the ghost I went online and sourced one from the Compact Shop. It arrived here in Australia very quickly and I am very happy with it. I use Max Factor compressed powder and had no chance of buying a compact in Australia as I have to source the powder in the UK these days as it hasn't been available here for some years… Read Full Review

I purchased two compact refills from Max Factor and couldn't be more pleased. I purchased two shades, and they both are lovely, with decent coverage, a great scent, and leaves my face looking smooth with a glow. Not a greasy look at all. The compact refills fit into my antique Stratton convertible compacts wonderfully. Super pleased, thanks so much.
