Like allot of people I was quite skeptical about sending my gold off to one of these companies but I had a great experience with hatton garden refinery Posted my items on monday and the money was in my account yesterday afternoon at 1pm. I tracked everything on the Royal Mail website just to check. That had not been updated until 3pm that afternoon -these guys are fast and the price I got was what I was looking for. I am not an expert but I am 100% they have paid a good honest price for my gold I would use hatton garden refinery again and might have a smaller amount of gold to send them -perhaps around 40 grams or so. My advice to anyone thinking about selling their scrap gold would be to at least consider that company. I have had a positive experience and allot of other people have aswell, judging by this site and others. I was clear from the online calculator what I would get and in the end ahppy.

I sent 31 grams (weighed at the Post Office) of mostly 9ct gold to Hatton Gold Refiners in April.There were a few bits that I had bought abroad which were marked 14 ct. On the website on the day it was suggested that 31gms of 9ct would be worth about 360 pounds. I received a call from HGR the following day to offer me 308.89. I pointed out that the website suggested a much higher price, even assuming it was all 9ct, the man replied that it was doubtful that the 14 ct was actually 14ct and that the gold was very dirty! Because by that time I was back home in Spain and because I knew there would be a charge if I asked for it to be returned I accepted the money, grudgingly. I looked at their website straightaway and found that on that day they valued 31 grams of 9 ct at 390 pounds! I wrote them an email and received a reply to say that gold prices fluctuate a great deal, that the website was only a guide and they offered the price of the day (??), that their T&C's state they can offer lower but have been known to offer higher and that my gold only weighed 30 grams anyway. Even if my gold weighed only 30 grams it would have been worth 377 pounds according to the website "price of the day". Generally I felt a bit cheated but like many others I suspect found the hassle of the other option too much. I am not sure if I would use them again and would tell others of my experience.

I am a polish builder and needed hte money into my account quick. they send me a gold pack and it arrived the next day. I was so happy I told a friend of mine to send her gold off as well. She was very happy with the price she got and they compared well to the offers she had from the high street. I had allot of old jewellery. It was mainly 24 and 22 carat items from my mother country - Mainland China. After doing allot of research online and even visiting a local jeweller I took the plunge and sent my jewellery off to Hatton Garden's. I lady got back in touch the next day and the price for almost 300 grams of 24 and 22 carat gold was nearly 1000 pounds more than what I had been offer on the high street and what other people online where paying. I can't thank them enough and I have reccommended them to a friend who has a similar amount of gold. IN conclusion they offered a great price and the money cleared that day. I had no issues and the lady was very ploite (sp) over the phone. Will use again sp) english is not my mother language.
