beware shipping charges!

I wanted to buy some 'Julian Bakery KetoThin Protein Powder | Egg Yolk' on desertcart.co.uk

Everything went well and I was glad to get some clarification on the product on chat.

The problem came with actually buying. There was a clear statement 'Free Delivery to GB' with a tiny pale grey ? mark in one corner. (Checking this later showed just general, non specific, information about extra sized items may need extra charges and such like.)

The purchasing routine was straightforward until AFTER I gave them my payment card details. Then I got a confirm purchase screen with a delivery charge of nearly 20% of the item value added on. I have never encountered that before. Enter payment details and only afterwards be told how much you will be charged?! You are kidding me.!

I contacted the seller on chat again, but simply got sassy responses like 'you should have checked the details' 'free delivery is only if you are a member (of what?)' 'You need to check if you have been charged' (Sorry lassie, I am the customer, I NEED to do nothing, YOU need to reassure ME) etc. etc.

Nasty experience. It seems to me they are hoping that people will feel committed to buy by the time they see the charge.
