“Worlds worst developer ”

Written on: 06/08/2019 by liannepemberton83 (1 review written)

This company have ruined my first time buyers experience. I haven’t slept properly in months. Do not buy from them. No customer service at all they literally do not care. They leave things so long that they hope you give up asking. 7 weeks in and my bathroom still isn’t water tight. Leaking windows and snagging list still isn’t anywhere near complete… Read Full Review

“AVOID AT ALL COSTS”

Written on: 11/06/2019 by StephenGriffithsMurru (1 review written)

Buying a Larkfleet house is the worst mistake I've ever made. The house wasn't finished when we moved in. The walls hadn't even been finished painting and the skirting boards hadn't been painted. We had a leak in the bathroom that took them months to sort out. The Customer Care is appalling and the worst I've ever experienced. The MD showed no empathy whatsoever and made me feel like I was a total distraction for her. The girl who heads Customer Care is the MD's and CEO's daughter so need I say… Read Full Review

“much more sq ft per £ & very roomy area, if slow to...”

Written on: 10/12/2018 by 179McKenna (1 review written)

I wanted the space of an older property without the maintenance, my wife wanted the clean lines of a new-build, without the tiny dimensions of a modern estate. So we had previously walked away from any new-build homes we've seen, as they've all appeared crammed and pokey, despite the brochures. Larkfleet (Larkfleet Rise in Somerset) isn't like that at all and it's the one modern estate which we both immediately warmed to. Larkfleet have really made an effort to create a much more spacious… Read Full Review

“Just don't - unless you love DIY on a grand scale”

Written on: 20/06/2018 by Disgustedhomebuyer (1 review written)

Because your 'new house' will undoubtedly have enough faults to keep you busy for years. If you really have to buy a Larkfleet house, get your solicitor to add clauses so Larkfleet pay for storage and accommodation if the house is not complete on completion day! Therre's a good chance it won't be complete or acceptable. Budget for an independent surveyor to do a FULL inspection and produce a snagging list BEFORE you complete! Most certainly before you cross the threshold. The sales staff… Read Full Review

“WORST MISTAKE WE HAVE EVER MADE”

Written on: 24/05/2018 by rhibbert (1 review written)

If anyone is ever considering buying a Larkfleet/Allison home don't do it. Completion was 3 months late and then we were handed over a filthy house that was missing all of the extras we had paid for. The outside had not been landscaped and the pathway was full of mud. We could not drive up to the house as the kerb to the road had not been dropped and then a makeshift kerb in a piece of wood was put down around the raised man holes, the whole road was full of builders muck that we had to… Read Full Review

“Dangerous property lets fumes from garage get into house”

Written on: 21/05/2018 by Plot95Whittlesey (1 review written)

My house at Whittlesey has an integral garage and fumes from my garage get into the house and made us feel unwell. Larkfleet manager and building inspector agreed that there is a problem but Larkfleet directors refuse to believe them, where is there concern about safety in the houses they sell !! Problem with petrol fumes from my lawnmower in the garage got into the house and we nearly passed out again, Larkfleet insisting that there garages are air tight! Complained again today, site… Read Full Review

“Excellent service”

Written on: 04/04/2018 by Jaxanne (1 review written)

I've recently bought a Larkfleet home on the Buttercross Estate, my circumstances for buying were challenging to say the least, all I can say is from the sales staff, and to the site manager and his staff, all without exception have been superb. I do wonder about some of the comments, for heavens sake they're a new build of course there will be one or two issues f you don't want any then pay through the nose and go for bespoke, you'll still get issues though, that's why a snagging list exists… Read Full Review

“Poor service throughout ”

Written on: 18/10/2017 by ChaseWaugh (1 review written)

Lack of communication through entire process , hidden information you don't find out until too late , poor after sales service and no organisation at all. Wouldn't recommend or buy another one anytime soon. Considering first time home , no support or guidence. Felt like buying car rather than home. Head office management out of touch with customers… Read Full Review

“Never buy from larkfleet”

Written on: 26/09/2017 by O'Connor202 (1 review written)

I purchased a house in the October, being promised to move in the December. We didn't actually move in till January, it was lovely walking in to your own home however the 'snagging' list began and ended up being 28 pages long. Some where cracks that would be dealt with after 6 months which was fine however small things like paint left on the floor, doors not fitted properly or bath panels not fitted properly are still outstanding. The 'customer care centre' is horrific and try to pass it on to… Read Full Review

“Would definatly buy from larkfleet again.”

Written on: 11/08/2017 by Coombesy2000 (1 review written)

Me my wife and two children moved in to a house at larkfleet rise Somerset. The first larkfleet development in the southwest of England. The property offered fantastic value for money and was finished to a really high standard. The size of rooms, garden and specification was to a far higher standard than the equivalent Barrett and Bloor homes. Throughout the buying process the communication between the estate agent larkfleet and ourself was well maintained. They did initially install the… Read Full Review

“Worst mistake of my life”

Written on: 18/06/2017 by Hempsted (1 review written)

Buying a larkfleet home is the biggest regret of my life, a 'snagging' list of 14 pages long, really poor customer care, and the worst I have ever seen in over 10 years working in construction. Throughly gutted that I have wasted my life savings on such a shambles. Really disappointed with everything!… Read Full Review

“Appalling Post Sale Customer Care”

Written on: 20/11/2016

It all started when Larkfleet Homes sales rep ordered and installed the entirely wrong kitchen despite the fact that I visited site twice to choose the upgrade. Their original working notes seem to have been misplaced. Then on the day of occupation we were prevented by the fact that the house failed its final NHBC inspection. We were put up in a local hotel for four nights but had to pay £1100 to my removers directly to store my belongings for those four days. Five weeks after providing my… Read Full Review

“Buyer Beware - Be careful what you wish for. WARNING”

Written on: 26/08/2016 by Buttercross (1 review written)

Please ensure you have your new home professionally "snagged", and a clause put into your contract by your conveyancing solicitor prior to exchange for Larkfleet to complete all remedial defects within a reasonable timeframe. I have defects outstanding for nearly 2 years already. Please also include a clause in your contract to include your driveway to be finished and the road you live on to be completed. Also, do not rely on any sales / marketing material as you may not get what you thought… Read Full Review

“Poor After Sales Service”

Written on: 07/03/2016 by BradleyLee (1 review written)

The after sales and customer service from lark fleet is totally unacceptable. Rectification work is not undertaken, the customer services line is never answered, call back are not undertaken. Major rectification work remains outstanding and the only way to get it done is through the NHBC or legal mechanisms. I have dealt with a number of builders before, these are by far the worse!… Read Full Review

Bobfrombourne's Response to BradleyLee's Review

Completely agree. Despite several visits to mend defects they continue to occur and the problems are not fixed. Customer "don't care" department are truly awful. Buy from someone better.

Angry999Angry's Response to BradleyLee's Review

Written on: 04/06/2016

Could not agree more - being treated with contempt by the site manager and customer services. 80 year old mother has been flooded out by faulty pipework and they refused to even remove the carpets that were 10 mls deep in water - had so much stress convincing them of our rights. No care or concern whatsoever for my mother's health and distress. Having a horrific time right now.

“Shocking build quality only matched by the poor aftercare”

Written on: 19/04/2015 by Salazar313 (1 review written)

Thrown up and done on the cheap with very little or no chance of getting anything rectified once you've signed your life away. Some issues only become apparent after living with them for a period....i.e I raised concerns about some windows being substandard within a couple of weeks of moving in( the scratches could be seen clearly when the sun was out)but it was deemed too late to do anything about it,unlucky. The fella who came round to assess was indifferent, scruffy, and didn't care a… Read Full Review

“DONE ON THE CHEAP, SAFETY ISSUES IGNORED”

Written on: 24/02/2014 by MRSCPA (3 reviews written)

We recently bought 3 year old, 3 bed semi from the original owner, with 7 years warranty remaining. Unsafe and poorly installed electrics: 1. Wired ionisation alarm in kitchen installed directly above the cooker, so when oven is on, every time the oven door is opened the alarm goes off! 2.Landing light switch sends out an electrical flash when turned on and off. 3. Light switches not fastened to walls. 4. Under-stairs cupboard light wires floating freely away from wall switch. 5. So… Read Full Review
