First Class

Had the TWS (3 wheel version) for about 3 months now and it 'does what it says on the tin'. I only use it off road and it's perfect. Currently in the New Forest. Sandy terrain and steep hills are a breeze. (Not a TGA Breeze of course. Having had a TGA scooter previously my experience with TGA was atrocious. Scooter took up to 33 hours to charge and service dept said this was not a fault). TWS is comfortable, reliable, a pleasure to use. You can trust the gauges over range which is so reassuring and safe. Smart looking machine too - a random lad aged about 15 who was not disabled, 'Wow! That's a beast! I want one!' And it charges in about 6 hours too.

Superbly Engineered, With Awesome Off Road Ability

I have a TWS - the 3 wheeled tramper. It is simply the best class 3 disabled scooter on the planet. Designed by an off-road vehicle specialist, the Trampers are built to last. The latest electrical circuitry and the highest quality components mean a Tramper will last forever. They are the Range Rover of the scooter world.

Manufactured in Salisbury, England the company has a policy of never selling one without ensuring the customer has tried one out to his/her satisfaction. The suspension and power delivery are adjusted for each customer - a truly bespoke machine.

Trampers are not cheap - but for a British hand built scooter with a high proportion of the key components sourced from top quality German and Italian specialist manufacturers, they are excellent value. They will last a lifetime.

My Tramper has changed my life - I can now go places that mountain bikers and landrovers go. Without worrying. Worth every penny!

Busted And Useless

The day I got my beamer TWS i was so delighted but not for long no lights or indicators worked on delivery day !! the engineer did fix the problem, i did not feel happy about NOT working on my first day. Then one day a few weeks later I had to do some shopping, scooter had NO power, charge indicator showed 100% button power. engineer called and took scooter away, he discovered in the week (with no scooter for myself) that water or rain had done something to the twist grip...on an out door scooter ???.. well he did fix it but now I have doubts about Beamer. Then (next fault please) Yesterday 9 Jan 2016 I had to do some shopping local, got to town and noticed a slight power loss, did i do that i thought ...NO the scooter stopped fully NO power, the squeaky rubbish horn was beeeeping constantly lights ok charge was 100% but no power...how was I to get home ?? Thankful two good gents came to my aid and pushed me and the scooter home up a steep hill. Thats it, I recon Beamer scooters are rubbish, yes I did get a quick service and so I should at the price we had to pay at well over £6000, I do not consider this scooter to be worthy or reliable, I would NOT recommend this three wheel scooter to anyone, it is British made (is that good) ? a load of trouble and it was new or so I was informed, also NO tools are supplied and NO weather cover, the scooter don't like rain, it is supposed to be a reliable go anywhere scooter in all conditions...Its not...it is rubbish...never again Beamer.

An all weather cover is available as an option. These are not designed to live out doors without a cover - no scooter is. However, they are rain proof - I know, because I have driven mine through blizzards and torrential rain.

These are complex machines and you were unlucky to get teething issues. However, the company would have fixed the issues to your satisfaction. I suspect you expected to be able to leave it out in all weathers - which is not good for any scooter. They are all electric - allowing damp to get in is asking for trouble.

Disappointing

After spending a great deal of money and waiting several months, I received this huge, somewhat cumbersome beast which, eventually required a return to factory and repair after failing in several respects. This probably is more of a scooter for the man who enjoys technical tinkering rather than a disabled customer wanting reliable transport.

It is no bigger than its contemporaries. They are class 3 road-legal scooters and are all approx 60inches long by 29inches wide.

It is not cumbersome and has a turning circle the same as its competitors.

It is not customer-servicable. There is little that can be "tinkered with".

You had to wait for delivery because these are built to order and customised to each clients weight and disability.

A 3 wheeled Tramper has completed over 20,000 miles around the UK with no mechanical issues - see the company website. They are extremely reliable once properly set up.

Amazing Scooter

I'm a Tramper user from Italy (sorry for my bad English) and I'm quite happy after I bought one Beamer scooter, the quality it's impressive and I like so much. The components are very good and the performance of the medium are really worth as they say. it 's true that it costs more than a Chinese vehicle, but you do not even compare them is like comparing a bicycle to a NASA shuttle! by Tramper can do a lot of things that you could not do, to move quickly and safely even in the middle of traffic, I think everyone should have one of Inoi it, thanks Tramper, Thanks to Beamer!

The Tramper Costs About 5 1/2 To 6 Times Your Run

The Tramper costs about 5 1/2 to 6 times your run of the mill class 3 scooters but TRAMPERS are 20 times the machine!

Mine has a cool looking black front and gets admiring looks from able bodied people even bikers! It has far beyond exceded my expectations. It's build quality and bullet proof design gets the 4x4 fans all excited..I've taken it places already that sometimes even land rovers would struggle with.

The downsides are the cost. particularly the extras but you're are buying a hand built heavy duty machine made in england by a small company not mass made in china and the quality is first class. Also the staff are very friendly and helpfull. If you wish to enjoy the thrill of hairing accross rough muddy tracks or rocky terrain then you can't beat a Tramper by Beamer If you want something for shops save your money and get something else. For disabled scooter users it puts the fun back in to outdoors and it's cool looks in one fell swoop de-stigmatizes being seen in a motobility scooter! Thank You Beamer!!!!

Will the tramper manage a sandy beach (dry sand, not wet packed down sand as shown in the sales blurb?

ExmoorBeastie

Mine is Nato green! - and I thoroughly agree with all your comments.

These are not machines for tootling round Tescos - they are for those who want to get into the great outdoors - mud rocks hills - you name it - a Tramper will conquer it!
