EVT Trike

I bought a Gomier Electric EVT Trike a little more than two years ago. The batteries lasted just past the warranty date. I took it to a bicycle shop, to have the chain adjusted and was told that the "integrity of the frame" is a problem and that I should try to get another frame. When I inquired about another frame, I was told that frames aren't available at a reasonable price, so I should just buy another trike, so I could use it for parts, when the other parts wear out. I wish that I'd bought one of the cheaper trikes now. I have multiple sclerosis and can't drive an automobile, anymore. My doctor suggested getting an electric trike, so I guess that I'm just screwed.
